what is the right vibe?!?!

i've been seeing quite alot of people lately talking about how the "vibe" is gone, whats "wrong" with trance today, how a big festival won't have the right "vibe"...
so as alot of you already read here in isratrance, Katam and i are planning a festival.
i'de love to hear for a change what everyone wants in a party/festival. what is the ideal for them, the more idea's, the better we can make this thing, all we want is to have a great festival....... |

I am of obvious reasons not going to attend your festival but this is what I suggest you shoudl think about to make your festival stand out from the rest of the parties in Israel.
1. Diversity in music - NOT the same 15-20 artists/DJ's playing all over Israel all the time. The ones in your list in the other topic is - sorry to tell you - not really diversity in my opinion.
Make sure that there's music for all people's taste. "New" artists mixed with "Old" artists is a good combination.
2. Use enough time and money on some quality decoration and audio visuals.
3. Make sure you have friendly people for security and in the door - NOT the typical stereotypes (bodybuilders) ;-)
4. If the Festival is a true festival (it goes on more than a day) then make sure there's plenty of food and fluid to buy and please play some downtempo/ambient during the daytime.. People do like this kind of music ;-)
5. Do not promote this as yet another drug event. A low profile as the organiser is recommended.
6. Avoid baloons ;-) Kick their ass and throw them out.
7. A small present such as free lollipops have always brought a smile on people's faces  Most important. Have fun
And last. You can do a lot to make people feel at home but in the end it's up to people to create a good and happy vibe. I suggest that people turn up earlier at the parties... IMO arriving at 4-5 in the morning is a bit lazy  |

i see that people are reading this post, but no-one seems to actually answer...
i'm guessing no-one know's what they actualy want and are content with the current trance scene??? or do you people only know how to complain? |

I guess people haven't figured out what the "right vibe" is yet as there's properly no such thing as the "right vibe" - If any it's to respect your neighbours and threat people the way you want to be threated .

but you understand what i'm asking (i know you do)...
there is no "right" vibe. i want to know what people want in a festival. what they want to see, hear, have, etc.........
people have been dissing the vibe at party's but unlike you, they don't give examples of what they want to see change...
people know how to complain. but they don't know how to even sujest change! |

Well, tell u the truth, Elysium Project summarized it pretty well...
i believe the biggest problem is promoting/organizing a party/fest. the wrong way, and to the wrong croud, but again, if u wont have good diversity in ur music, and selection of DJ's, even if they're unknown, but good, that would definetly put a huge smile on my face at the end... 
If u have a goooooooood croud, u have a gooooood vibe...

if u wants to put some nice fest' that will drow ppl from the whole world .. in my opinion ..u'l should divide it to 2 parts chill side that will contain live act and dj sets from artist like toires,simon(shpongle set),spyweardos, accu (finland) and more just think or ask ppl for thier choices..
and also bring some of the pioneers for the trance side (simon, har-el... total eclipse) and some of the refresherz as mandalavandalz(texas, shiwa2000),Squaremeat,lightman jr.. for live acts and dj sets..
u should also give the fest' a concept and that the fest will flow after it.. like a full moon or any thing else u want..
i dont know.. but i got a feeling in me that say that this is science fiction and it wont come up in israel... but we have the right to fantasize ...
if u realy gonna make it true u'v got my blasin'!

p.s - and as for the real vibe question.. for me the real vibe .. is like hmm... trance is like a new religion.. it got its belivs,mith's and storys, trance(psy trance actualy) is a way of thinking and acting.. not just go to some partys festival and hear the music.. its the whole ritual beetwin it.. i cant expalin it.. my english is poor.. soory mate mabey some1 else can.. well have a good luck Follow u'r Spirit without hesitation. |
