cheerz for the words Fometrius, it makes sense to me, all of it that u have written, i was beggining to think i was asking at the wrong place, and the responses i had got earlier were making me question if i was asking in the right place, but its clear now, essentially you have written what i have understood,it has cleared some doubts, but many questions are left unanswered, and it makes sense to me that no one can tell me the answers to my question, only i will get the answers from within, but if someone else has gone ahead on the same path and would like to share their experiences, it may help understand the experience from a different perspective. but cheerz again for the effort, did help me in many ways

work is a way to make other people happy.
that is why it is divine.
people tend to see divinity only within activities like being a doctor, a musician, an artist....a priest...
but divinity is also within the simplest things. i find divinity every day when i go to the bakery and buy a bread that the woman there has done with her own hands for us all.
and if one does not find divinity in what he or she does, then it is better to look for a new challenge and a new job.
not working might seem ok for some time if one is burned out. i had this period too, but at the end pf the day nothing is more important than to be useful for others. this makes you happy within your heart and nothing is better than that.
the sadddest thing is not to be useful for anyone. of course sometimes working can be doing art, and vise versa , but you always lose a part of your independence.
p.s. doing art you actually do only yourself happy. mostly. doing work is sometimes even more divine than art. |

you make something out of nothing
and nothing out of something
and anything that you do becomes
everything that you see
seeing, dreaming, imagining all of it is believing
believing what you do is work
-xolve it dissolve it solve it
punctions unnecessary
When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive |

If you choose to be divine all you do is divine!
or lets change that, If you are a chosen divine being all you do is divine... Or maybe you are divine in one thing so that one thing is divine....
But its utopia to be a superhuman and do everything right and nothing wrong, and really sometimes wrong is right so where to look for answers....
I think you find out what is right or wrong, and then you must choose if you want to continue doing one or the other.... doing wrong will sometimes help others do right and doing right will sometimes make others do wrong...
But what is this thing about work? Divine work? art is divine by it self and so is caring for other people without egoistic intentions(which is often discussed whether or not is possible).. And taking care of people for money is not bad, cause you can always do that little extra by showing love, respect and kindness!
yeah i should sleep now, hehe

since now i have been regulary reading on this forum, i have got a picture of the personalities here, and definately what a mixture of people,
upavas: ok, so there is no relevance for your work ey? all you do is meaningless? you r an artist , musician, so you music has no relevance for you?
freeflow:work i meant as, for the love of the divine, in the sense, when the work has no material meaning, like not for money, or material desires, but for helping your fellow huma beings, to spread love, compassion, what the divine wants us to do, he wants us to spread love, compassion, etc etc, so his work, divine work.
dreemkeep: for sure, we have obligations to support our family, wife kids, but we connot ignore the other higher purpose of existance. we must also work very very hard for it or no?
xolves's words r meaningless
maine coon: i dont wanna sound rude, but as i have read ur posts on the forum, i think u should invest ur energy more constructively, i dont think u have ajob, or even a life, please dont take me wrong, u have so much potential , why dont u use it,i seen u construct meaningfull sentences sometimes, but sometimes u r so rude,(to mok for example, even tho she was talking nonsense, u should be nice! and caring!)and there r som many things i'd like to tell you, but i may sound rude then, so i wont, but blossom, and ripen into compassion for everyone, formetrius got love and understanding, but too much to say, and too litlle to explain, totally went offtopic here, but i just had to put it down...and someone please make some good spirituality topics to discuss, something which may ivoke some meaningfull discussion1instead of the same people, creating bullshit topics and threads,i'll try so take out some time and try starting a good meaningfull discussion in a while
peace

I don't know, Minus...
If somebody asks me to describe myself, "rude" is not the first word that comes to my mind.
I thought I was pretty decent in that discussion with Tina too, although I confess – some rude words did pop in my head sometimes.
But if somebody feels I've been rude to them - I apologize.
In response to your comment and straight on topic: being unemployed for over a year does affect my spirits. To put it in simple terms: it sucks. And maybe you’re right: maybe it makes me less tolerant and accepting and it starts showing in my posts.
I am sorry about your loss. Hopefully, life will go back to normal for all of us soon.

i was having strange dreams these days. how do you see the chance that there are some kind of " good forces" that care for us and give us the opportunity to do the proper work that would help us most in our spiritual life?
i was just dreaming these days very intensively about having a work where i travel a lot. ( i am now freelance with a small , very small firm for online marketing, internet services and web video, which is giving me a bit of freedom but too much free time and i sit all the time only in my city in my home office). so i thought, okey, if there are some good forces, may be they give me a sign to move on. i looked for job and the first i found was a job with my profile in an international corporation, where you could travel anywhere - new york, sao paolo, singapore, etc well really to all main cities on earth. and i though, hey, this could actualyl be exactly what i need spiritually, i can find a lot of things to do after a day of work. anyway, i hope very much that my theory about the good forces is true. i decided to now change my life for the sake of my spiritual development

till the time you "want" to travel, and " want" this or that.. it is egoistic, till the time there is any egoistic influence behind your work,it will never manifest itself before you, you have to forget about yourself,, and start doing for others,, selflessly, completly,, only then you may , i say may, get a glimpse of these" good forces" which might come into play then.

is your work totally unegoistic? what does your work give you , do you do it only for others? is it possible to do so with any sort of work?
as a matter of fact i would see this travel as a very spiritual task - to go to these important places on earth and spread an important spiritual message coming from my own culture. i could organise so many things and small events and exchange knowledge.
and doing this not on costs of other people, but on costs of a corporation seems to be the right thing to me. one more thing, you never know to whom you actually talk to, and what is his or her intention. if i were doing it only for myself, i would be doing totally different jobs.
