Im right with you there. i listened to a radioshow today, where they discussed evolution of music and syles of music! i think especially with this kind of elecronic music that everyone speeks of LSD and it sets your mind free and you have to think for yourselfe kind of attitude (long sentence haha!) for beeing that kind of a style its pretty "unprogressive".
its really really hard to fit in to any scene without adding the right kind of kick, or a fast 16:th part bassline..
If it is so free and creative, then why does it sound so alike the other 200.000 releases this and past 4 years?

Right on, the term dogmadelic would be a better definition. But i think it has to to with the fact that psychedelic trance has come of age. When a style is new, people don't know how things are done because there's no reference. After a while, most new musicians will copy the stuff they like and before you know it that's what people expect to hear at a party. This doesnt mean that there's no progression, but it's not really freestyle within the narrow confines of the psytrance idiom. But why limit yourself to only one style ? It's more fun to make and listen to different kinds of music. But when it comes to the vibe, i've found it very hard to find the same vibe you have psy-parties at other parties

i think that is a shame. Both as a party visitor and as a performer. Listening to the same bassline for 3-5 days in a row makes my less interested of going. And it makes it really hard to come thru with a different kind of tracks.
Tho its my problem, cuz the parties are crowded.
I just think it would be really cool if there was an opening for some alternatives.

When the words are so weak to transfer the meanings I start to say it with the Music .
I make music cause I think Why I shouldnt make it ?
Nothing gives me a pleasure more that a Finished Track .

we've been here before I have to say... I'm convinced the whole thing will get less commercially successful again. With less labels and less releases we might just see an increase in quality and diversity (which may seem counterintuitive, but in reality, when the labels are forced to pick quality over sound to survive you get an increase in diversity. The ones who pick the same old stuff go under).
Psy has a habit of reinventing itself. Don't be surprised if it does so again. When the writers get bored, (A point I think a lot of people are reaching, with both their own output and other peoples, if we are brutally honest) then it will change.

Welll dont know if its for everybody, but for me, at least those festivals i ve been going these last years, its very common to get high on lsd and after a while the party looks so STUPID and simple. just because the fuckin lack of creativity from people who are making music nowadays IMO.
its very nice when i go to a party and they play some new stuffs...here in BR its even a lil easier to get those new stuff because only now it s hapenning some parties with a more DARK/SERIOUS focus... so its new here..so its fun.....in a moment that lots of people who used to love the parties, dont want to even know bout it..
but surely it has progression.... i think people are just lazy and brainwashed by the little money that came in.
and its with our love to make music, in our hand who are the new producers and maybe for those who reach a good and aceptable level, the writers from the future scene, to repair those damage caused by the experience of existing. |

No real purpose as such but if I could get myself to write music the way I would compile an article or something on those lines which comes easy to me, that would please me.
