Cheesy plastic stuff
Downpitched laughters & voices,screams,horror samples
Vocal samples,i am not talking about samples with people talking about stuff i am talking about singing,not my cup of tea unless it is really something,i heave heard some expectations

it is harder to answer what turns you on,since the most sound same,but occasionaly when I listen to psytrance I don't like :euro leads,singing in psytrance is always a thief of my time,and no real idea but a good production tis sucks way more than a bad production but a good idea in the music.
Than samples of suffering ,monsters and killargh evil people who scream like idiots are totaly outdated or boring,and such bullshit is not for adults or just a waste of time.
You can gate it how you want it but it will sound like bullshit.
Well i totaly keep my ears away of new psytrance,it is like I have enough heard.Apart of a few 'new' artists of course like gutter,freeflow,speakerfreaka,orange,dh and some darktrance artist too enichkin,psycovsky etc,and the most oldskoolers like Cosmosis,I dont listen to psytrance.
But it will change in the next season for sure 
Additonaly to that I wanna mention that any audible cheese is a torture for my ears.
I wish more animals in tracks.Bring back the freakyness and drop your killlaaaargh monster masks.

Guitar in trance... it is just never done well and mostly sounds like people who think they are skilled but can only play a few power chord riffs and a few notes from said chords...
Even S.U.N Project, I can see why they didn't make it as a rock/metal band..
Compare any trance guitar to proper rock/metal and you can see the lack of skill in 0.5 seconds... maybe it would work with more experimental stuff, like when Fear Factory did Remanufacture style stuff but even so... cheesey as.
And anything that has advertising written like this:
"This new album brings forth new elements, new formulas of Full-on style of trance music, bringing in higher peaks than before encountered, driven by a pack of wild horses roaming vigorously through the mountains."

the purpose mostly, it's obvious imo when a musician 's purpose is only money or the mental destruction of the listener. what gets me off a track next, is boredom

Bad mixing.
Anything else I can tolerate. I guess I don't really like it when I go to a psy trance party and a dj/producer dose a whole set with music that has the psy bassline but nothing psychedelic goes on top. Usually accompanied by a hell of a lot of breaks... or cum shot dance music as I call it. |
