huge 3 minute build ups followed by the most boring part imaginable
breaks that cover half the track, upbeat hi hats that are way too long
"remixes" that have absolutely nothing to do with the original track
hearing an otherwise great track with some redundant z3ta+ preset as the main lead
that set of 3-4 ethnic vocal samples that every chill artist has used (although I don't know who was the first..hopefully Ott, but I doubt it)

+ Guitar and "Devil Torturing people" sounds.

agreed on the vb-1 and yes that bassline has been done to death, and no I don't do it, but some people just get it right with the rest of the stuff that they put on top.

i'd take that any day over 'remixes' that just take a track and putt a different bassline under it. most of my fav remixes sound nothing like the original. van she's remix of gravity's rainbow by klaxons springs to mind, all they kept was a tiny bit of vocal and even that they chopped up and changed and it's an amazing track.

1. Female Vocals that sound like the voice from a random Navigation System

2. Vocals about trivial stuff (Like Digicams & telephones, as Dnox and beckers did)

3. Most Electro influences...

I originally put this in the chill/ambient section and it got moved by the moderators so my posting before was my pet hates regarding chill tunes. In the field of dancefloor psy trance I agree with a lot of people on here that vocals suck especially when they are sung through a vocoder and the singer sounds like a techno chipmunk. I also have a real issue with psy trance tunes that just stop, sometimes for no apparent reason the track just dies and then does nothing for what seems just a bit too long killing the momentum and any dance floor energy. I just don't get what the composer of these tunes are trying to achieve.
