I've seen SFX-Rainbirds go for $200 on ebay once. About $150 more than I could afford. |

LOL its not exactly a 'new obsession', even for our little scene. Besides, it's not good for you to let what other people want to talk about affect you so much. You won't be able to change their minds about anything, all you'll do is cause more strife. If you don't approve you're much better off ignoring it; that's what I do (except in this case where I'm doing the pointless thing of telling someone - you - why their behaviour won't serve either them or the community, and a fat lot of good it'll do me too).
Anyway: I don't know if it's the most expensive ever (perhaps a signed test-pressing of LSD would take that prize?) but Amazon recently sold copies of our second album "Breathing Space" for about $240; even at the moment there's a copy on sale there for $176.

If psy-heads were generally a rich crowd(drawing a parallel with those rich house music bastards) certain CDs would reach 3-zero proportions and people would turn into crazed collectioners of "rare" items

i think there is a tremendous future potential for high value "rare item" auctions of psytrance media.
its really quite perfect media. interesting covers, low unit numbers in total, very collectable...
when goa becomes retro-nostalgia-ready and we are all in our 60's with phat bank accounts (ok some of you may already be both or either) im sure there will be some things similar to what i've seen with media from the 60s and 70s...
ladies and gentleman- we have an original akai mpc 60 formerly used by the frontman of TripleOhDee - starting bid 100,000 euro... what do i hear, do i hear 110?
next up we have original blotter - still in the sheet- uncut- full picture of Shiva- what do i hear?
but first we need to think of another plot to catch the medias attention. you see, all the academic articles on the web conclude that goa parties died when the goa music started, and that since this is music for a scene no longer existant, its irrelevant... we never had the sheer numbers like football punters do, but we need another publicity stunt to make psytrance cool again.
on the other hand they will probably just declare it "dead" again like they did in 96...
mainstream electronic dance music publications make me laugh. |

Update: Agents of Evil, under the command of Osama´s zombified corpse are planning the unspeakable. Scrapings of Skazi´s sperm have been stolen from the Pepsi Museum and have been taken to a secret location for cloning.
Soon armageddon is upon us as the multitude of air guitar playing Skazi clones descends upon hummanity....
