I just saw the link in another forum and I think it is a very good one and worth supporting.
No politics??? This link has to do with quality of life and it is an important issue to think about, not only for the sake of animals, but also for the humans and the whole planet.           "*´¨)

Old, yes I saw that, it was posted more than a year ago, even a month before the link you are mentioning Jason.
So what? What's wrong with you guys?
This is not about some kind of fashion, it's about raising peoples awareness.

Well, Jason I did use the search.
Traveller posted this link more than a year ago and I decided to answer to it, because I find it is worth supporting and think, that some other people might find it interesting, too.
And who is "we" anyway? Andrey and you? What entitles you to speak for other people?
If you recognise a link as old, just don't look at it, if you think that "old" disqualifies a link of being of interest, but please let other people look for themselves.           "*´¨)

granted, I am not speaking for every single person on the board, pointy. I am not saying that this link is not important or that that link is mis-posted. all I am saying is, opening another post of the same link is kind of redundant (take, for example, the everlasting posting of the "acid trip" flash clip); surely, you, like everyone else, would mind if someone came once a day and opened a new thread about the same link.
again, this is by no means a disrespectful response, and yes, the topic in this specific link IS Important to some people (me, personally, I like eating meat), but it's not worth getting your feathers in a fuzz over it. lets end this with a smile, a handshake and a rolled one (my dollar)

Yeah, I would probably find it annoying if the same link would show up as a new topic everyday.
The thing is, that nobody opened a new thread here.
I saw the link somewhere else, used the search in here, found the link in a thread that had already been opened and replied to it and I really don't see any reason to be disturbed by that.

btw I also like to eat meat. This is not about becomeing vegetarian.

I prefere to smoke chillums, but I give you a big smile anyways

well, given the quality of weed up in here, a rolled one is all i can afford
but enough of this banter, lets keep on moving on up, with or without meat (me, i just finished a plate of chicken and beef linguini, and ain't a trance head happier than I am right about now)...           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

What I have against this is that this is not about animal rights, it's about stopping 'industrial' farms. From a sheer wilderness preservation perspective, industrial farms are far less damaging. This is just made be people out for more money, not by people protecting animals. Worse conditions for farm animals in this case mean less interference with the wilderness and the ecosystem in the entire area. It's just more efficient to work this way.

The amount of animals eaten won't be changed and the guys who made this know it - this is the lowest form of political propoganda in my book.

Well kaz, if stopping industrial farms, or concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO), as you may call it, is not about animal rights, than I don't know.
It is not only about animal rights, but just read in the Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Factory_farming about it and see for yourself, if this type of farming is cruel to animals and worth being stopped, also for that reason.

How can you say "This is just made by people out for more money", where did you get that idea from?
Have you actually looked at anything else, than the flash animation?
The organizations mentioned, which are working to make people more aware of what they are eating, by talking about where, how and under which circumstances food gets produced nowadays, are non profitable organizations from all over the world, where people are working as volunteers.
There is nothing being sold, nor do they ask anywhere for donations. It is pure BS to say, that this action is out of money interests.

Does your father own a big industrial farm, or why are you talking like this?
Lowest form of political propaganda?
...sometimes I have the feeling I am surrounded by idiots....

I am in no way related to anyone who has a factory-farm. I don't consider the treatment of the food I'm going to eat important, if I would, then I'd not eat it at all. We KILL those poor animals. If you're not guilty about that, why should you feel guilty about the fact that they live in crowded quarters? Do you know how much wildlife is destroyed by cows (g)razing entire habitats? Do you know how many wild animals are killed because people don't limit the place their livestock roams? The bottom line is that a factory farm is a much more 'closed' system. More efficient, less damaging to it's surroundings per animal compared to the family-run businesses.

Look at how ugly they made the factory farms look and how idealic the family farm is presented. The main point here is 'family farm good, factory farm bad', not 'help the animals'. I'll repeat my main point: the amount of animals eaten won't be changed and the guys who made this know it. They don't say "stop animal cruelty", or "eat less meat". They say "pressure your government into stopping factory farms". Hypocracy, a twisted set of values, a shallow view of the world, or just greed. I'd think they're greedy, since that's what usually drives people to do things.          http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222
