It's a word used by the many fake hippies in the psytrance scene. people who never went to India or even know one bit about Indian culture and religion.
It's becomed a word many people use to sound cool and belong in the "tribe". Just as Boom etc.

in greek language it means something like"hey!here we are".it is used when u arrine somewhere and a company is waiting for u or when u re with someone else and ging to a place,when u reach the destination u say"here we are"!thats what namaste means(kind off)!
