The explanation:
About a year ago somebody in the Party Reviews wrote "DJ Zombi is rocks" and since then it kinda catch up with some people. Usually in the Party Reviews section. DJ x is rocks, Artist y is rocks

Rocks & Rolls, Rocks & Roxxor.
I first noticed the twist from the expression that rocks from Pavel. So instead of 'that rocks' you put an Engrish twist on it and vollá, you have 'This is rocks', 'Something is Rocks'

I think it comes from people who don't speak English well using the term improperly.
Or it comes from netspeak (i.e. teh R0XX0RZ).
