well in our case with megalopsy, it was different

we were lucky to meet trishula records which released our album. and although we are very happy with them and they way they work, we decided to start printing our stuff, not because no one else would do it, just because we enjoy supporting our scene.

one thing is dealing with cool persons over msn and another thing is fighting as warriors with the people you share your country, city and house .

we as megalopsy were one of the first latin american artists (apart from brazil) to be released. i think that one good thing that psytrance has is that it does not matter where you come from, only the intensity of your music.

we decided to start our label not out of spite that no one released us, but on the contrary we decided to start it because it was fun and a good way to help our friends around here.           Psychedelic Trance from Argentina

"one thing is dealing with cool persons over msn"

this means that the trishula guys were cool, but i only talked with them over msn

"another thing is fighting as warriors with the people you share your country, city and house"

this means that i know personally most of the argentinian artists, and with some of them i even lived with them, and we share the same struggle. direct contact is more intense, thats all.

but i *guess* most of the 'young people' are quite interested in the dark/night side of trance all around the world, not only in Argentina..

I have 2 very much disagree with this statement here brother. Dark psy is not just something for kids with lots of frustrations and being furious, as many out there seem to think in the full-on/progressive scenes nowadays. I'm 38 myself, I know heaps of artists like Highko, Kindzadza, Azax Syndrom and many others to follow, as well as label-managers, promoters and others involved in this scene that are not "young people* (althoug we're not old either ) at all no more. Many of us have at least a good 5-15 years of travelling and listening to psytrance in all it's sorts behind us now and I'm sure all of 'm would very much disagree with your statement here. I just had to point this out 'cause I meet 2 many people in specially the progressive scene of nowadays that tend to think their taste of music is more "adult" or something while "the kids" just listen to noise....also we "old sacks of shite" like it hard and dark and for me this is purely 'cause this music expresses my anger and intense feelings that I can perfectly release this way in this politically and economically fucked up world we live in nowadays. I gotta release it somewhere and this music helps me a lot to transform it in a positive way so I am not disappearing to much in the uglyness I see a lot around me and can contribute that way to a more positive world around me....Bom Shankar !           Mind Funk Records

I Think. that dark psy have serious elements and new samplers & textures to ear the trip (is a total laboratory...)
KinDzadza is a expert....and he was a Underground artist in past epoch....its make to breaks paradigms in the usual...that same full-on that arrives at levels that are the same (no all time...no all the full-on !!)... I almost always I focus in underground dark psy...this is like comparing the independent cinema to the cinema from hollywood...it can have so much concept that pop psy or mtv....

can I imagine the psy MTV in a future...?? xaxaxaxaxa... maybe

VENEZUELA OPEN THE DOORS 2 all artist from Underground....to put news concepts to our ppl...The ppl Here like news logical concepts...90% dont find Comercial...Here

I have 8 years here puting music.. and I know the codes/ ppl / of my land...

The commercial has been a negative influence..to cause or generate mafias, violence, etcccc...
in other scenes here (tecnho,etc)....
(like other scenes in the world)...

We just protect our scene for that problem in a future...

we protect 2 the negative concetp 2 dont expand....the commercial is part of the politic and the economy too....just we looked for new artis with concept...or Labels with new concepts... but good !!...

the important is the serious message from each track...and make a good trip...

The Dark or Light was maked to all !!...

I preffer the Dark psy...

RESPECT 2 ALL

And sorry 4 my Bad english friends...

There is not an especific target for psytrance escene in Latin American I think.... ´Cause there are many people lisening to diferents faces of psytrance... also you can see it on th diferents artists/projects here... diferents sources of music as Megalopsy or Ovnimoon -btwn many others- makes the scene...           http://soundcloud.com/x-a-n-a/003-djane-ada-wicca-massala

whatever, I personally know many non kids who like dark/night... but you can't deny it's a patron... most of young freaks or teenagers like dark psy, and Justin confirmed me it's a worldwide patron

Well..hehe, "I guess" u made a guessing statement in this case then but have to disappoint you that ur Guru Justin is not the absolute authority on this matter. There is a tendency indeed, but not in every place, it totally depends where you are and how the local scene developed itselves there over the years. I do have 2 admit that many psyfreaks loose their wild hairs after some years and move into the more calm (read: boring )realms of trance, so your point is taken !           Mind Funk Records

Well I've always loved dark music in every gendre, but when I discovered that Psy Trance has a dark side too I was totally shocked, I found it complety different from any other kind of music, there has been a revolution in my mind so this opened a new door in my concience and spirit.

I think that light and dark are both needed to know and understand our external and internal universe, and that doesn't depends on the age of the people.

The dark art is probably less explored than the light one, and maybe this happened in Psy scene too, until the latest years when the psy artists dicovered that there is a wonderful and exotic world ready to be explored, and I think this is why it's growing everywhere.

Actually I'm two years into the bolivian psy
scene and the last year I decided to be a Dj and to organize my own parties, so I've created "AntiGén3sis Producciones", and yes, we are into the dark side of electronic music.

Now, this year, I've started composing my own tracks exploring Night Trance, Dark Full On, Chill Out, even Industrial and E.B.M., everything with an etnic bolivian music influence.

Peace and respect.
