What is the important part in a trance party???

You go to the trance parties because of the line-up,your friends,the chill-out???
Excepting a few cases the most part of the time you go to a party,and around there,hidden,there is the chill-out.
When you allways like to stay,but you never knows who`s playing or who`s making it(The chill-out area I mean)because there is no information in the flyer.
Why,it`s allways like this???
Just let me know your opinion.

i think there is no information because the majority is not interested very much in chill out/ambient. you can see it in this forum too. there are only a few people posting in this section compared to the other sections. |

Generally here in Portugal the chillout line up comes in the flyer...and sometimes its also posted in the chillout area so all can see...which is a very nice touch by the promoters...
As for the reason why i go to parties its very simple...
There are two motives:either because i`m playing at the event,or because there is something really worth while in the line up(dancefloor or chillout area)that makes me go...
I think i dont need to go to a party to be with my friends...there are much better places and ways to be with them...

Unfortunatelly people are so attached to the psy full on phenomenon that don't give a damn about chill out... I do, I even complained about a party here (XXX w/ Psydrop live act) where the chill out wasn't even mentioned at the flyer, and didn't had a good structure at all. Unfortunatelly I offended who organized that chill out as just a test, and I didn't knew it was just a test. I apologized to him, and wish him my best regards, coz I know he took it as a critic afterall =).
For me there is no important part, but important part"S", that when work together, create a peaceful atmosphere.
Friends, beautiful place, civilized people (I already saw people throwing beer cans at a party's lake... shame!), killer line up, good sound system, harmful chill out... when you combine those and other factors, you made a great trance party, when you only focused on one of those factors, be sure that people will notice that something is missing in that party, that the sanctuary is not as it should be.
But of course, the party can have a special feature, like a phenomenon on the dancefloor, a live on the chill out, and some other attractives, but it can't be the only good thing at the party, right?
My point of view? People should look at parties with a holistic view.

And besides................any place it`s good for me to stay with my friends.
Well,ther is the conception that the chill-out it`s an alternative space inside the party togo when you are too stoned.Basically the reason why it`s because many,many people use the chill-out for this and only for this.

Here in Germany, the chillout lineup is usually mentioned on the flyers, sites etc. I think this is because a party generally consists of those 2 opposites, which attract each other (yin+yang, good+evil, nite+day, sun+moon etc...)
The ´Dance´Floor is for letting out your energy, taking speedy drugs etc. while the Chillout is there to let the people relax and regain energy, talk, make friends, roll a spliff etc.
I´m a chillout-dj myself, and i also experienced that ppl enjoyed the chillout more than the ´Dance´Floor since the music there usually is way more beautiful as in having more ambience and melodies.
And here in Germany, the Chill people sometimes put more energy in designing the rooms and making the people feel comfortable than those decorating and designing the ´Dance´Floor.
Keep in mind, i can´t generalize this since i didn´t visit all the parties there were, but its something i experienced myself on the whole lot of parties i visited throughout the years.
