The Clevo is good, but one big drawback is that the firewire port is on the front edge; not good for live. Andrew (my partner in Voice of Cod) has a laptop with the firewire port in the same place, and we've lost audio on stage in the past when the cable has been nudged whilst dancing during the set. Not good.
The main advantages (for me) of a Centrino laptop are greatly extended battery life - which means I can do a whole 2-hour set off the battery and avoid earth-loops from the laptop's power supply - and very low noise, which means I can have it set up in the studio right next to my main monitor and have twice the computing power without adding any more noise.
