i think the TS404 is the one...
i also liked the TB303 of the Rebirh (although it is only a fake of the real one of AKAI)
i cant find any vst ins. that i can say is the best...
well... what is yours? |

there are allot of virtual synths.
some of them are good for your music and some just making problems to your computer.
goto http://www.kvr-vst.com/vsti.php and there just sort the instruments by synth and choose your synths.
what i did is just downloaded the VstI and tried to use it , if i liked it so i would keep it , if it doesnt feat to the sounds that i like then i throw them away.
download some instruments and try them...

try fm7 native instrument's beast:)
if u dont like it,try roland sh-101 and juno-106
and the best thing that u can record it on is 1975 original 8-track:) |

What about Reaktor I hear that's a pretty good synth ?! Any other good mac synths ? Absynth ?!
Nord Lead is the ferrari of synths (just add some fx) ;)

I Personally prefer the VB-1 bass synth to make some groovey lead lines, and the Neon for whopping pad work. |
