I need the best VST that can increase the Stereo image without totally squashing the sound. Any suggestions? Thanks guys. |

ur sequencer clone the track u want to widen, pan one of them left and one of the right u can even make a third clone for the center... In fact, u can do this at nausea if u want in rock they use this technique all the time to create a wall of sound, the producer of muse for example recorded the same guitar-track umpteen times and layered the 7 best takes upon each other to create that huuuuuuge muse guitar-sound... |

overdubbs is a well know and used lot's of times in rock and other types of music.
however notice that recording the same track many times gives a different effect than just cloning a channel: guitar players wont play the same track equal two times and it doesn't matter how good the player is because some little changes will appear because of different issues.
the fact that each recorded track or the same part has small differences is what makes the sound HUGE.
This is somewhat similar to the chorus effect where a sound is played with small amount of delay and (depending on the FX unit or VST or patch) also minor changes in timbre or pitch.
