I'd go for the EMU because of good dsp effects (i hear)
for its money - i'm not impressed by the audiophile 2496 which i own -and the delta DiO doesn't seem to have midi in/out so....

EMU is the best, but go for the 1212m. Then u get a very good card.

E-MU! I use the 1820. 1212 will do fine as long as you don't need more than a few I/O. The patch mix software takes a little getting used to but once you do you can use it in a variety of ways. It makes recording audio a snap whether it be from a movie or a sample you made, etc.
