I've tried a lot of eqs and different plugins, the best result I can get with Waves SSL Channel, it's meant to be a mic preamp =) I don't reckon it changing the temper of a sound and it does comp/gate/eq/pass. Sometimes add APeq when i wanna be really cruel
When sound is already good alone I prefer SLL channel and good arrangement
EQ is much more dangerous tool than compressor

the one that is being used right.
just as 'general info' you all should know that Voxengo Gliss actualy add noize. bounce channel with nothing just eq and you get noize.
not meen that i dont like it , the scope layering is what makes it so special to me. as well the 'oldschool' resonance actions.
oxford is VERY good .. some sort of dynamic eq as far i understand
cpu winner offcourse is the native sequencer eq's , which are not too bad at all!

I only use Logic's phase linear and channel EQs. I almost always apply subtractive EQing anyway and digital EQs with high Q factors and their surgical abilities, do the trick for me.
Peace out.
