Manasseh Meets the Equaliser - "Step Like Pepper" - absolutely bloody brilliant.

Easy All-stars - "Dub Side of the Moon" - almost perfect.

The Orb - "...Ultraworld." and "UFOrb" - still sound fantastic but you should have heard them when they came out...

Kraftwerk - "Autobahn" - the Grandaddy of them all.

yeah, agree, i listening to it quite often for 5 years already(more than 1000-2000 total times i guess ) and still can't get enough of it and can't get tired of it. looking for something that could get at least close to it, still no luck.. there are a lot of strong releases, but no one so far beat Substrata by playtimes amount(or maybe by willingness to listen it over and over again) for me. at first sight Subradial's 'Bioloophorm 2' looking very good, but we'll see after year or two..

It is pretty damn impossible to say what your favourite ambient album ever is - and I guess almost everyone should probably say Shpongle - but I think these do the job pretty nicely anyway!

in no particular disorder...

ott in dub
shpongle - both of course
celtic cross - very psychedelic
padmasana - holistic resonance mini cd
anything from interchill!
toires - sanati
stress assasin - within the office of
t.i.p - mystical experiences
mystery of the yeti - no.1
dub trees - nature never did...
saafi brothers
aes dana
ozric tentacles (!!!!!) there ethnic ambient stuff defies belief. everyone should check them out!

the favourites go on and on..!!!

This weekend I had the pleasure of listening to the
Schlabbaduerst Rekkords Compilation No6... this enchanting album is the real deal. ..and you will discover that their is more to ambient dub than what LSD and other such like labels are mass producing!!!!
Def one of the best releases this year and I love the fact that the CD is a CDR with a sticker label...
