What is the beat ambient album for you...?

apart from the already mentioned, I would like to add Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden.
and for ambient without a psychedelic touch, i would say brian eno on land,music for films, music for airports.
also boards of canada is really nice.

Definitly the first album of Britney Spears is out of this world,and in second place....I allways say the same.

Beat ambient, hmm...
Mutagene's 'Sleeping Possession' sounds like beat ambient for me and it's very good, Biosphere's & HIA's 'Polar Sequences' and 'Birmingham Frequencies' might be called 'beat ambient' also System Error, Subsurfing, The Orb (older releases) and Boards Of Canada are amazing.

Too hard to pick just one so...
1. Aes Dana - Season 5
2. Solar Fields - Blue Moon Station
3. (have a feeling huva is gonna sneak in here, once i get some cash)
4. Ishq - Orchid 2cd Limited Edition
I'd put shpongle in there, but I dont personally classify shpongle as ambient. Strickly just 'psychedelic'. |

Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works vol.1 and 2, everything by Plaid and Nightmares on Wax, BNE's the Future Sound of Ambient Vol. 3 (X-Dream and Total Eclipse are just amazing there), and of course everything by Shpongle and Celtic Cross (not an original choice but it's just so damn good)... Vangelis deserves a mention for loads of different and amazing pieces.
... too many goodies out there, I just can't pick one.
