why only in psytrance music people became very confortable and peaceful?

it's the same constant pounding rythm from the heart from our mother as a we all experience as a child when we float around in the womb.
Although the heartbeat not as fast as the trance perhaps..
just a theory i have!

i been to party in the nature
I step on someone really hard while dancing
he was peace and happy... like he was my brother or something kind of family feeling..
and lots of things like that which very rar in clubs and other dance music...
feel united tribe for the trip
everyone care...
something like that u know what i'm talking about right..?

First of all it's the drug references in tracks, f.e. "Lets all take some mescaline!". The more drug samples the better. Everybody becomes calm and waits peacefully in line in order to get his or hers portion.
Secondly - references to Shiva (mostly in oldschool trance), etc. As we all know Shiva is the god of war. When people are dancing they are doing it in a peaceful manner so as not to disturb the angry god.
Last but not least it's the music itself. Recent trance music is very innovative. It is so original that when people hear it they get bored very quickly, they yawn, they fall asleep and thus they become peaceful.
I guess that's it more or less.

very funny... 
i think if u listen to all the dark trance that's flooding the market today, you will think again about trance (or that sub-genre of trance) being peaceful.......... its a far cry from peaceful.... its actually the opposite of peaceful, its angry, aggressive and evil.

I think people into psytrance are peaceful because they just think this music is very special, and therefore they think everyone that likes it must have something special inside themselves too...

i think that people are fairly peacfull in psychedelic because there is no reason to be a dick! Everyone is enjoying the music be it on drugs or without - true this may be the same for other music scenes but If you look at 'certain' other music scenes theres a tendancy to be egotistical - Whereas with psychedelic trance, people tend to leave their ego's "at-the-door" and what happens from that point on is an expression of heart how can there be an ego when everyone is trancing out?
its fantastic to be around and to be a part of.
Thats what i feel, anyway....

The rate of the rhythm is not supposed to match that of your heartbeat. It's actually supposed to match the rhythm of the alpha waves in your brain, whose cycle length is equivalent to that of the trance beat speed.
More alpha wave brain activity means less anxiety, greater health, fewer accidents, more creativity, more peak performance, and more happiness.
I believe Huxley had a nice interesting session on the alpha waves in Doors of Perception (but I could be mistaken).

I don't want to make this a dark vs light discussion, but i think Surrender is right, that kind of music it imposible for people to be peaceful, i've been to parties where they played really dark stuff and people got CRAZYYYYYY an ugly scene. |
