since Psychedelic is a description that is very variable and personal each person can have his own interpretation to that.
I fid alot of the house and Techno music very psychedelic. for instance alot of the earlier acid music, Carl Craig & Laurent Garnier - Demented Drums, alot of Nukem's stuff, some of the Eric Morrilo stuff, Junior Jack, Lee Cabrera, infusion, Lemon 8 and more, much more.
but this again is very personal.

That's very interesting Borris.
I define psychedelic music as music which transforms me into another dimension, takes me to a tour to mars and back and so on. Sometimes I even have hallucinations when I dance/listen (altough it does happen less nowdays. Maybe it's some kind of maturation process).
I thought house is suppose to be about "global groove" feeling, and not send you to outer space. Am I wrong?  (I guess I am) |

Yes Timmy you are.
some house is about the groove, some is about transformation. same with techno and same with trance.
i see alot of todays trance as a pureley rythmic music with not a big transformation factor. and alot of the house music is very trippy-trance inducing, not in the power level but in the deeper trance state.

So I guess the lesson here is that definitions can't possibly describe good music. Everything has to be judged individually. |
