buisy little country, lots of noise and good people who had no place else to legitimate those positive energies. and get rid of all the intense shit we get here on a daily basis. ;) my humble opinion, based on how i feel. |

for me israeli trance was allways influenced by only trance. thats why it was allways feeled abit decedant for me. in germany people were allways open to stuff from detroit and chicago. if u go to a second hand record shops in israel you will never see old techno or stuff like that. people here know only trance -psy trance and like the high-tech guys they think israel is some kind of an empire- well like in the hi-tec israel never was and never will be a real empire. |

Fuck people, All the best goa you hear today and will ever hear came out of ISraEL, so no arguments, it's just that today trance is filled with Mostly unbarable and unlistenable shit. It ain't even music anymore. So what The fuck this is this discussion about anyway? I mean, today's SHIT music is more like what would happen if i go to the local HARDWARE store and start slamming pots on frying pans, etc... Heh... It's like a Fuckin' Ex-Perimental Musical Project or smtn... Oh shit.. I forgot, you can make better music with Fucking saucers and frying pans and all sorts of kitchen equipment, and it would still sound better than the craaaaaaap that those freaks on acid-meth(lsd=acid) reliese today!!
BOM!! - is that relevant? |

Did you ever, ever think that maybe the fact that trance is the #1 underground electronic sound in Israel may be good for that music? Yeah, it's probably the only well developed electronic music scene in Israel, but let's think this through for a moment.
Israel have a wide scale of artists that range from extreme morning to harsh night, with a wide scale and very talented artists, including plenty of refreshing new sounds. Israel has ALWAYS had a strong creative force, and a worldwide impact.
If any country will never be THE trance power, it's Germany, since the only breakthroughs that seem to come out of there is taking emotion out of the music and replace it with power.
If you like that, just go hear techno. If not, Germany is the last place on earth you need to look for tracks that you'll hear more than 2-3 times.
Is what I'm saying fair?
No it isn't. It's a wild generalization. That's exactly what you did.
This is an arguement which has many sides too, and you can't disagree with a lot of people that think Israeli trance is better and more developed than German trance, because it's JUST A MATTER OF TASTE.
Stick to the facts. Trance developed early on in Israel and Germany, both have big scenes (Germany in numbers, Israel by percentage), both have lots of artists and their "classic" approach as well as acts that don't go by their countries stereotype.
I personally prefer (and historically so) the Israeli sound, but I always put the British sound (and up to 2-3 years ago, the French sound as well) in a nice spot above them both. |

U r a smart ass.
Always.
This time I got u.
U r totally wrong.

No connection at all between German goa/psy trance, Detroit and Chicago.
It's only the fact that u like arguing for the sake of arguing.

the problem with israeli-trance is that this is the only REAL scene in israel right now. the israeli sound is very distinctive and i feel that after the first impact that israel had on trance (early 90`s) when psy trance had it best years ever (big time dj`s played that sound cuz it was fresh). after that big music got in to coma and even worse. same ideas same boring melodies and stuff. lets face psytrance as a world wide genere is very small. its non-relevant mainly. since it lost it vitality.

Yuli- fact is that every object in history can be told in many ways. since u r not talking about the actual stuff only about an object. AFAIK when sven vath was in GOA he listened to GOA GIll playing his own music. Vath took the rhyhms from detroit and from the acid sound of chicago. i know most israeli artists listened to stuff like front 242 and other industrial stuff but they were not the first to play or do this kinds music. any way this argument is getting too silly for me so i am out. If you think that way, stop hearing trance, and leave us alone :)
This is a TRANCE forum, not a techno forum, not a house forum, no matter how you slice it, this is about trance. So please, please, PLEASE, stop arguing "the problem with the Israeli trance scene is that it's about trance", because when I put all of your arguements into that one line, it so easy to see how FUCKING STUPID it is.
Now I can rest easy. |

The fact that someone says that trance is not relevant, and that's why the Israeli scene is not important and never will be.
I have a BIG problem with someone saying that. And much more so, when his excuse is that the trance scene in Israel isn't about techno or whatever. OF COURSE IT ISN'T. It's a TRANCE scene, it's about TRANCE. Why is that bad? Why take one of the biggest, most influential scenes in the world and say "well, all you do is melodic crap, and well... err, you hear too much trance". If that's someone's attitude.
That's my problem.
If he would have based his badmouthing of the Israeli scene on FACTS, and not on the fact that it's about trance, I wouldn't have a problem with that. It would be a legitimate opinion if it was supported by logic, not the saying "it's crap" in bigger words. |
