That question has been on my mind for ages now....what's so different in Israel that made it the "mothership" for psychedelic trance movement? Please give us all your thoughts on this one.... |

loads of Israelis went to Goa.
it's one of the hottest touring spots for Israelis aged 20-30, and they bring trance back with them. |

Sorry man,
The mothership of psy trance movement and most of the electronic movements around is GERMANY.
All that our pioneers did in the beginning of the 90's Sven Vath, William Orbit, Emmanuel Top and such did b4 - just were too underground to b taken into consideration by most..
But they and their kind ( Front 242 - Belgians by the way imo, Nine Inch Nails etc ) are the real fathers of the trance genres we hear today..
Yalla KEBAB start arguing... ;-) |

yeah, well, in a percent of population, we probably got the biggest scene in the world. And as far as I'm concerned, 90% of the big breakthroughs in trance were done by english acts... only the last 2 years it's not like that (but then again, a lot less developments in the last 2 years) |

I think you should read Borris article in "Mushroom" magazine. It could answer some of your questions. |

thread on Borris article: http://www.isratrance.com/cgi-bin/boardnew//YaBB.pl?board=Trance&action=display&num=5504&start=0 (very nice article btw :-))
And i'd have to go with Asaf on this one. Most innovative acts: British. Biggest scene (total ppl): Germany. Biggest scene (percentage): Israel. Fastest Growing: probably my country.

i think the mothership is finland or sweeden =
good vibes all over the body!!!
* for me the best is simon and he is from u.k so it doesnt relly metter. so there isnt "mothership" its just that if you good than you good it doesnt metter where u from what is your color etc.
and what ive been told was that the father of all the trance scean is "jean michel jarre" i think hes from france or something. |

heehheeh... its really a stupid thing to discuss, no offense or anything but it kinda reminds me a start of an acid trip; "Who am I?" "Why am I here?" "I dont understand this..." Bla bla... Who started ? WHO KNOWS? What does it matter anyway? And who the fuck are you people to determine what country began everything? trance is a state of mind, not a musical genre, some can say oliver shanti , some can say Nine Inch nails. WHERE THE FU$# ARE YOU GETTING AT WITH THIS THREAD, BESIDES ARGUING AND SHOWING OFF WITH YOUR MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE? |

buisy little country, lots of noise and good people who had no place else to legitimate those positive energies. and get rid of all the intense shit we get here on a daily basis. ;) my humble opinion, based on what i feel. |
