What is Ibiza trance?

hey all,
was readin about Ibiza and read something sayin : There also exists a genre of dance music named for Ibiza dubbed Balearic Beat, similarly to the way Goa trance is named for Goa, India. The style tries to reflect the atmosphere of Ibiza, and listeners often say they can see a Mediterranean sunset when they hear its euphoric, uplifting melodies..
In the same article it says that Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar is a popular track under the ibiza trance genre !! Is Ibiza trance sumthin like this track ? can any1 give me names of good ibiza tracks,or tell me more about this genre if it really exist ?!!

i guess it all depends of the periode of the ibiza time
it started out with disco and house in the 80s/90s this time the island was mostly gay people and friends of them but
you know what say first the gays,then the girls and then industri
and by the late 90s/early 2000's ibiza made is highday everybody was coming to island is this periode and clubs where packed every single night
the music was now mostly uplifting melodic trance and house and clubs like gatecrasher,ministry of sound,cream,gods kitchen,pacha and sven vath's afterburner sunday at space but the wildst most be the manumission event at privillege 11.000 people dancing,people on swings over the dancefloor,go go dancers smoking 12 inch joints,live sex shows & preformances,clowns, and djs in the toilet
i think this is the periode of time that people think of when you say ibiza music
bvut all goods things come to and end and when trance wasent popular with the mainstream people anymore things changed
now days i think you can find all sorts of music on ibiza but most of the big clubs plays electro ,house now days
