I have been talking to people all over the world and no one has any real info on a trance event being run for the Eclipse 29/03/06. Brazil is the Perfect location .I am defenately coming but there are thousands who need some encouragement. come on guys and girls. The Eclipse is only 8 months away.This could be huge . I saw one 3 years ago . The most amazing thing ever. Hope some one is running with it .?

yeah man you are absolutely right we have still plenty of time to make some gig
this cosmic event will be more visible from the northeast of our country specially in the state of Rio Grande Do Norte which capital is Natal
Unfortunately the psytrance heads and people that enjoys this kind of gathering lives in downsouth mostly SP, Rio or BH and BSB, here in northeast we still dont have a psy-"scene"
so sad that..
In Recife we can see some parties happen with big structure and profissionalism, but besides the Universo Paralello festival that occurs in the new years eve in bahia, we have no other festival planned in this side of country (IMHO the most bealtiful place of Brazil)
we can discuss more in Pm if you like or plan to do something to best interact with the sun in this unique time that is to come

We need to get people motivated. In Australia we have to book flights now , to get there. This should be huge .
Internationals acts ect. I suggest infected mushroom ,fatali ,sunproject ect.8 months goes very quickly.come onnnnnnn!!

Hey My Friend and all the people interested on this,
I came today with bad news, everything was fine to happen a Solipse Brazilian Edition in Natal(north of Brazil), on 29th of march, but... 2 person that works 4 a long time with astronomy at Unicamp did some studies and said to us that the eclipse will not be possible to be viewed from the coast of Brazil, just in the middle of the sea, and also it will be really on the sunrise time, so this also is bad to view the eclipse, and wouldn't be a total eclipse from over there. It suxs cause we also had talk with some gr8 artists already, and had made some contacts with the government of Buzios, the city in Natal that we would do it, and also the organizers of Solipse were up to organize something with us, anyway,... it's really sad, but we will not do it anymore, cause there's no sense, do it a Total eclipse party in 2006 without a total eclipse, but we must do it something at the same date in Rio, just to get the energy of this phenomenon, bye 4 all, and keep the spirit alive, Shama!

ahhh r u sure?? i have the path of the eclipse showing it would b visible from Natal, just after dawn, i hope there has been a mistake.... I have almost bought my ticket!! Please b sure!! |

Could be difficult, none of these places except Brazil seem like they will be that easy to organize a fstival in, hmmm....
The Total Solar Eclipse of 2006 March 29 is another “must see” - touching exotic locations in pristine Africa. The eclipse begins at local sunrise on the coast of Brazil and then sweeps across the central Atlantic Ocean, before making its next landfall on the Ivory Coast/Ghana border. The path then curves through Togo and Benin, before entering Nigeria. Exiting Nigeria, the path crosses central Niger, gaining in duration all the time before sweeping across the northwestern tip of Chad. Maximum Eclipse of 4m 07s is reached just across the Libyan border, and the umbra leaves land on the border of Egypt and Libya. After crossing the Mediterranean Sea Turkey is swiftly crossed and then Russia, where the umbral shadow leaves earth at local sunset.
Without a doubt - Saharan locations in Niger, Chad, Libya and Egypt are going to be the best spots for observing this eclipse, with clear skies almost guaranteed, and a location in pristine Africa similar to or better than the eclipse of 2001. Logistics are going to be more difficult than 2001 and 2002, but any efforts made will surely pay off.

High My Friends,
So, like u guys also it has more a lot of people here disapointed with this, speacially me. The thing is, the eclipse will start over here, but really in the morning time, and another thing is that as start here, it will not be total, gonna happen something here, but the day will not become light. Also 4 guys that really want to celebrate this somewhere, it will happen a big festival in Turquey and might happen a small one in SA. I hope u guys find some place to have fun, that also can be Brazil:) And we gonna keep studing, if someone has from another expert in astronomy saying that in Natal will be a Total Eclipse of the Sun, i garantee to u that we still doing, what we don't want is to go to north of Brazil set it up everything 4 an eclipse festival, and we just see half of the eclipse, this we don't want, thanxs anyway to understand, peace 4 all, Shamamix!

I have checked and am waiting on replies from a couple of astronomers but i am nearlly positive that it will be visible from Brazil at about 8.20 in the morning and wil be a Total Eclipse lasting just over 2 minutes . I booked and payed for my ticket yesterday. Will post latest info as soon as i get response from astronomers . Looking forward to seeing you all very soon on the Beach in Natal.

I hope so much that this others astronomers can say that will be total, cause as far as they said here when the sun is too low, the visibility is not so good, and also the day doens't becomes night, so let's pray, i garantee with it will happen as we want, i gonna make this gr8 party, let's keep trying, Shama!

Hi fellow Eclipsers
I have had confirmation from two Astronomers
the eclipse will definately be visible from just below natal. So lets get planning.I cant think of anywhere better than Brazil for this amazing event. Here is what the astronomers said
"The eclipse will be total, but only in a small area of NE Brazil - Here is an internet link to a map: http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/SEmono/TSE2006/TSE2006fig/TSE2006-fig06a.GIF
The Sun is already in eclipse at sunrise. The duration will be about 1 minute and 53 seconds to 1 minute and 55 seconds, depending on where you are standing on the centre line, much less towards the Northern and Southern limits.
If you are outside of the N & S limits shown on the map, then you will only see a partial eclipse.
Total eclipse -will- be visible from Brazil at
sunrise, as you can see in the following link:

"The totality will last a few seconds less than 2

nearly 2 mins and at dawn, fawk count me in, the outback was near dusk and only 30 secs and AWESOME. 4get turkey i wanna dance on the beach at dawn where it is warm! c'mon brazilians i c u have wicked parties... this is a total natural psychedelic experience so lets get it happening PLEASE!! |
