Also for last years,after the word FLUFFY became so used and popular,I tryed to figured out for myself,WHAT IS FLUFFY
FLUFFY-(Oxford English Language Encyclopedy)definition:
[adj] like down or as soft as down
Synonyms: downlike, downy, flossy, soft
Ok.If people who listen to trance call one kind of music fluffy,what do they mean...???
Low BPM -135-140 bpm,a kind of Clubby,soft midrythms,no blows,no purposes.
Few years ago this music had it short explotion.Atmos,Noma,S Range,Tikon,Big Wigs and many more.
This kind of the music was a kind of house trance.Yes,FLUFFY.
From the other side LOW bpm have used by many hard psychedelic,minimalistic and technotrance groups I mean 4 example,Para Sense,X Dream,Umade,Midimilitz ,etc).
So,to call LOW BPM or just soft music FLUFFY
also not correct (Midimilitz is soft,but never fluffy)
OK.
Then.
many people call FLUFFY any track that has the melodie.
But the presentance of the melodies makes
anybody call trance a music.Notes and sounds.There are good melodies and bad they are hard melodies and soft(fluffy),they are
serious melodies and cheezy.
So,IMHO,inside one type of trance music-psy or full on or whatever it is,we can devide the tracks by fluffy,hard or any,but to devide all trance on FLUFFY and DARK it is minimum uncorrect.
Fylologically or just logically.
And,also I met a lot of People who like to wear the image of a PSYCHEDELIC WARRIOR.
They just like it.To tell everywhere "how long time I am inside the story,and I use only psychedelics and I tryed everything,and all trance scene became really commercial,and it is all bullshit,and evryone make this stupid full on,nothing new,and music has to be only psychedelic...ooo...dont tell me nothing my friend,I am long time inside the story and I know trance because its my life,I make this music,I know the dancefloor -people dont need your commercial music...they are tired of that "...and bla bla bla.
And then they go home or n the studio,take out their PSYCHEDELICWORRIOR image,but it on the nail till tomorrow,watch news on TV,looking some pornosites together,while checking webtrance pages,and then go in the "studio" whch usually is a room with comp with shitty soundcard,and again trying to make a masterpieces of dark stuff without knowing anything about the music making by itself,wondering that knowledge of Cubase,(which he learned so fast,cause spend a months in his life playing PC games),can give a great results.
It is not personally about all psymusicians,
but I know personally quite few of them exactly how I described upper.Mostly same story.
PS> And,the most intersting,that none of them (I don t mention any names)is really psychedc head,some of the Psy trance headleaders never even tryed A/C or anything lie this9some of them very very few times).
