Artists like Prana, Sandman, Hallucinogen et all had nothing to do with screaming babies, chainsaws or confronting your fears. Many people have had life changing, transformative experiences at trance gatherings having nothing to do with confronting your darkest fears AND having a great time in the process. The world needs more love and positivity, not fear.

I believe in balance. Keep yourself on a steady diet of horror movies and you’ll become a lump of coal. Confine yourself to romantic comedies and you’ll become a marshmallow. The same with music. Listening to “glorious morning full on” all the time will make you shallow, but there are times for that music (psy purists can start yielling “boo” now  ). Listening to darkpsy around the clock will either dull your senses or make you antisocial, but there is a time and a place for “facing your fears” and whatsnot. Choosing only one extreme and forgetting about other shades will only rob you of valuable experiences.
These constant arguments about horror vs. cheese are silly at best. Aside from the fact that there is the whole spectrum of psy music between these two extremes, a balanced person would need both in some doses. Just like an ecosystem needs variety of species. Just like evolution needs variety of individual traits. Anywhere you look, diversity is a key element of balanced life and natural progress. One-sided enforcement of any life style, however rational its justification may seem, leads only to stagnation and unhappiness.

This is purely my personal opinion and I make no claims otherwise - I see psy music that intentionally tries to freak you out with horror samples and connotations of death destruction and terror to be completely infantile and fucking boring at best, potentially hazardous to certain people in certain states at worst. There are so many better themes for the altered mind than those things. The absolute last thing I want to hear when I'm dancing/trancing is some douchebag intentionally trying to freak me out with some cheesy horror sample.
There is something to be said for dragging someone out of their comfort zone with music that is intentionally atonal or discombobulating, or haunting and mysterious etc - but to my ears/mind the 'horror/evil' kind of dark psy is just as cheesy as the worst morning full on but in the oppposite direction - it also doesn't take me anywhere, it doesn't show me anything interesting, and it completely turns off my trance state.
Music doesn't make people confront their fears, music doesn't make people have spiritual experiences, PEOPLE confront their fears and have spiritual experiences, and sometimes use music as a tool to get there. It is up to them to do that work.
The evil/horror stuff seems to be trying too hard, or to just have a complete opposite intention of what I think of when I think of a trance experience

Quantum physics also talks about the relationship of energies and the concept that matter is just densely packed forms of energy. So, before you disregard something as high hippie horseshit, maybe YOU should check to see if there is some truth in it.
My last point, you've gone to parties and experienced the "vibe" at a party, how can you deny that whatever senses that are taking input are not communicating a similar general feeling toward people. I was a social psych major in school and the whole group experience concept is what brought me to the electronic dance culture back in 1998. There is enough interest in those concepts that you say aren't proven for others to become interested in and perform some interesting social experiments with as well. I don't get what your issue is dude, but you really should do some homework before slinging Haterade.
