What if the mixerchannels doesn´t peak that much?

I´ve been working with a mix for a while now without any nice results,i just noticed that the channels aren´t loud att all, could this affect the final result of my mix?

what happened? did you turn the master up at the start or something?

As a matter of fact, it is better for your ITB mix to peak somewhere between -18 and -12 db as that translates close to zero on analogue equipment.

Watch closely at your gain staging too. Digital clipping sounds awful.
