what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?
I believe each person is peace loving , but most of us don't show it because we think something like "this world is big , one less ,one more (people) won't be such a big deal"
what if all those peace loving will share their thoughts ?
I think this can change the whole world,
what do you think ?
potential ?
ps - this is not political junk, this is what I think when I listen to good music whatever it psy or michael jackson - heal the world .

well, that would be the hippy point of view on things. Unfortunately, the hippies tried to change all the world at once, and failed. The trance scene nowadays is much more realistic. No anti-technology over-spiritual ideas, but rather a much simpler solution - just have fun. We can't decide how other people think. That's the problem. We can all be positive and happy, but the trance scene is a small minority, less than 0.1% of the world, if you include all the generations of trance fans.
I believe everyone wants peace. Wanting it is sometimes not enough. There's a certain line beyond which words do not help anymore. And that's when this thread crosses over into politics, so I'll just end this here.

The hippies failed and it's been the same over and over again in the psy community. People taking too many drugs thinking they can change the world with a little peace & love.
The human race is basically advanced animals and war and agression is a big part of our genetic gen pool. So forget your very noble ide of changing the world. It wont happen ! |

Jack, i for one don't think people today think they can take take drugs and change the world with a little peace and love.
Hippies were an enourmous collective, with an ethos. some were scattered, granted, but the majority of them are todays leaders - doctors, lawyers, politicians. they shape the world with their past in mind.
war, on the other hand, is fought not only on the battlefield. and not only by humans.

The Psytrance scene changed my life, and I believe it changed your life too.
In the begining I had this though:
Psytrance partys has brought us again to the acient tribal ritual of dance in connection with mother Nature. The gathering of ppl from all over to celebrate Life in a natural environment, the respect for each other, the altered states of conscience and the exchange of personal experiences, remind us of what the world could be like when our relationship with plants, animals and with eachother was a respectfull one. Nature was Holy for us.
The Shamans are now the Artists who make paths for our spirits to fly. I don't regard Psytrance partys as only fun. They could be a mean of reaching a higher level of social conscience.
But things are changing, and even if the message got lost I still believe that the contribution of the scene to all of us is great.
Man is a political animal. Everything we do is politics. Even if we say we don't care about politics that is a policy.
Perhaps we can't change the world. But at least we can try. Psytrance may not change our world, but certainly has changed mine.

tottal peace its a unreal thing, never and never. why ? coze no chance all the ppl will think the same, there will be always not enough of something (no matter what is it, water, air or drugs) so one will jelous and want to take it from other.
social/collective way of life sure better than "basic situation", mean better than ppl lived without collectives/countries/law.
good goverment its one that can make their citizens life easier and less dangerous but keep the outside damage at minimal condition.
right tempo of law changing can make peace as big as its possible, mean maximal. but population large every year, nature sources get down ever year, human mind sickness up and not every year but every minute.. all ths dont help to peace grow up, mainly down nowdays.
somebody said hippies from past rule the world nowdays ??? i guess we need to care that other ppl will choose the political directions in the future, seems this hippies fucked up with speeds and lsd tooooo way much.. overdose

Zombi, ppl thinking differently doesn't mean war. We must respect different opinions and cultures. There's enough water, there's enough food, there's enough energy for all of us. It's all a matter of a fair distribution of resources.
It's in our nature to fight and kill each other? Well, then we must change that. As we saw in the last weeks there is a peacefull thinking all over the globe. And for the first time in many years I felt positive about the future.

You can say:
"I want peace but others don't and so I'll be like them".
Or you can say:
"I want peace but others don't and so I'll be different than them".
That goes for everything else. So just choose what way you go. The second is more difficult, but I feel its much more rewarding, and yes, it bring change, might be a small one, but you do need a lot of drops to create an ocean.
And as for the original message, I believe it will definitely help, but it will help more if people do, not just think.
It is a fact that can't be negated- if we all live in peace, there will be peace for all of us. Simple and true.
Now I know you can't control everyone and tell them to live in peace, but you can control yourself and you can effect the ppl around you. And a good party is the perfect example.

We can always be positive and educate people with our attitude. We can give example for lots of people with our acts (like walking a few more steps and throw our trash on the trash can). It's easy to do.
But what if you have to walk a kilometer before find the first trash can? Since it's your trash (your responsibility) you must walk. It's a question of honor.
IMO: It's all a matter of attitude. People must get education. And of course, money (and egoism) talks...
