Sony MDR-7506. More comfortable than HD-25 imo. Closed and robust. |

I'm also using AKG's, the model is unidentifiable at present. But the sound rocks!

Sony Mdr-v700, jon gave 'em to me as they were 'bust' and he'd bought a new pair, it cost me £11 to get a new lead fitted, now better than new! excellent (thanks jon )
tangentially related to this, are some 'phones better for djing as opposed to studio work? i wondered if some brands might emphasise the bass to aid djing...

Sennheiser HD-25 are the best I've heard for DJ use. They cut out ambient sound when you put them on and deliver a nice punchy sound. (Only gripe I have is the ear-pads are too small and the phones feel a bit tight)
Sony V700DJ's have loads of Bass (good for beatmatching) but not too good at delivering the subtle bits... quite cool looking, though! prefer the 7506 or 7509 sound.
PS: Does anyone have experience with Sennheiser HD-212Pro (Recommended by Sennheiser for DJ use) "Never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience" |

i use technics headphones for djing and like them a lot. can't compare them to senheiser or anything very expensive 'cause i've never tried them but they definitely are fine for me.
Something 'bout those little pills - Unreal the thrills they yield - Until they kill a million brain cells - I'm going down to... La La Land!

I don't have some amazing head-phones...
I use Sony MDR-CD280 but the sound I am
hearing is good and clean...so I guess they
are cheap abd good (I think I made the right
choice)... |

Mdr v700 is tripy !!!
It pulses on your ear.
Ive tried lots of others, including the Technics, and the Sony is really really good.
Go for it !!! |
