Better known as "MesolimbicTrance" which is relating to, or being the more central portion of the limbic system of the brain that arises mainly in the ventral tegmental area, consists especially of dopaminergic neurons, and innervates the amygdala, nucleus accumbens, and olfactory tubercle. The brain's mesolimbic system is involved with the control of memory and emotion..

How precisely does this type of trance "relate to the limbic system" more than any other type of music?

Herbivore, are you seriously challenging your lizzard or is your only jesting info you seek per your belief system?

We’re naturally more sensitive to rhythms than to melodies. In most cases, our sense of rhythm remains intact after a brain trauma that leads to total tone deafness. In other words, melodies are a higher construct that gets filtered through higher “departments” of our brain. Music devoid of clear melodies and relying on rhythm and timbral shifts has a more direct pass to our unconscious than tonal music would – just like the sense of smell has a much more direct and deep impact on emotions and (especially) memory than the sense of sight. This is all just my personal hypothesis / understanding of things, although I didn’t entirely pick it out of my ass.

Anyway, if you want to challenge your limbic system, I’d suggest you check out SoundCloud for CinderVOMIT’s dark ambient tracks. And then compare the emotional impact of those atonal pieces with the effect of a full on track or a fluffy piano concerto by Mozart.

I am not saying a melody cannot be deeply moving. It’s just not as direct in action. A “melodic” dish at a French restaurant vs. well grilled neuro-cheeseburger kinda deal.

Neurotrance is a term I invented to describe my new clean stripped down sound- like "you live in a zoo"

neurotrance is NOT
-night psy
-dark psy
-noisy
-fast

neurotrance IS
-melodic
-about 144-146bpm
-clean
-psychedelic

this term has since been taken by dark trance, there is even a label named neurotrance records...

since i invented the term, i had an opportunity to define it (as fullon-bpm, melodic, more twisted than normal, but absolutely not classic noisy atonal dark psy)
since anyone can do whatever they want in this world, its since been used as a name for *whatever*

Oh, the length some people would go to just to avoid saying “dark”!..

Speaking about “Zoo”, I thought it sounded like darkpsy with a nod to full on. Not in the same way as Tsabeat-Wizack-Mox, but still somewhere in that territory.

Proprietary labels are fun. Alex says “psycore”, I say “machine-gun darkpsy”. Same avalanche of noise.

^ unfortunately there are many things these days that call themselves Neurotrance, it's just as old as Goa music if one wanted to break it down, not so important to do so...

Quantumtrance is a style and falls under MesolimbicTrance as well...

Wait, so you "invented" neurotrance?

That sounds kinda silly...

... about as silly as the term itself. (nothing personal)

BTW, I invented Gastrotrance.

It's trance music that targets specifically the gastronomic system, thus enabling you to digest food better (or worse) when you listen to it.

The result is usually a cleaner, silkier, more enlightened stool sample, accompanied by swirling patterns of rainbow urine.

My next album will be titled "Gastronomic Stimulus Plan".

Yeah, I've heard that style. It's a sub-genre of dubstep, right?

Who is that directed to? Me know me didn't invent it, if anyone did the Russians did, true story.. I guess the Russians could be silly, not my place to call them anything but good music promoters..

Since i understand the depths of neuro me has found traces of it goan back to the early 1900's..

Anywho, that's me and my music research programs...

Your style is a types of neurotrance just for the records, coming from a lizzard...

Cool story bro!!!

So you invented the term for your new clean stripped down sound?

Well mr Ocelot, no offense but this term is old.
It was actually the slogan of the old label Deja Vu Records.. (May it rest in peace)

The best way to end a discussion is to contaminate it with facts, this cd was released 6 years ago, probably long before you moved to the zoo.

Btw, here's that blue butterfly
