What Exactly Is "Neurotrance"

Neuro is a prefix in words for concepts and topics in relation to the brain and neuroscience. neuro electric therapy, neuro muscular junction, neuro-vitrification, neuro-psychoanalysis, neuro-ophthalmologist,
neuro-psychiatric, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-oncology are a few drops in the hat to help you understand "neuroTrance".. Better known as "MesolimbicTrance" which is relating to, or being the more central portion of the limbic system of the brain that arises mainly in the ventral tegmental area, consists especially of dopaminergic neurons, and innervates the amygdala, nucleus accumbens, and olfactory tubercle. The brain's mesolimbic system is involved with the control of memory and emotion..
It is spoken most in the South East of the USA however it was coined by Russia over 8 years ago.. Origins of the sound in Goapsyd go back to 1995 per my records...not so new of a genera, just remains true to the underground sound... Its like spiritual Faith and Science making love ...
People seem to get confused with the West coast. Which coined the sound as Trauma much later which has now become know more of a horror sound. Actually the new definition has nothing to do in describing any west coast artist that I've heard of..
MesolimbicTrance or should I say NeuroTrance is only Dark if that's how your mind is conditioned. Stop being a slave to conditioned thoughts and enjoy the Neuro inside of you...

Speaking from an "outsider's" point of view, Neuro-trance sounds better than dark, simply because most of that music (most of what I've heard anyway that people still call "darkpsy") is not actually dark.
That or call it glitch trance since most tunes sound like there's a glitch plug-in on the master channel.

Incidentally, I didn't really give my opinion in my original post--I was wearing my "cultural observer" hat on that one. And getting some details wrong, obviously

For me dark-psy is an even worse attempt to try and stand out...and besides a silly name, its completely irrelevant when you get to hear the actual music.

Whats this topic about again? If I buy gas, there are many levels of octane, propane to kerosene. What type of diesel should I get? Its gas...
If I go buy water, I can choose from distilled, spring, glacier, bottled or tapped. I can even get Smart Water.. its all water..
What's wrong with music having a choice? |

Understood my friend but who said Osom, cpc and Kzz fall under the night psy category anyways??? I was just responding to the previous post which spoke about "dark" psy which i too think is an idiotic name. Hence, music to be played at night is called nightpsy. Simple as that. No shiny, no jazz.
If you need names im talking Orestis, Zik, Metallaxis etc. etc.
Hope you get my point

I first heard the term neuro trance back about 1997 or 1998 to describe some of the heavier goa and psy sounds that ended up turning into what we call dark or night psy today.
I first heard the term used again by DJ Dragon and some others from the Southeastern US, but I also have been seeing it crop up a lot in the Russian and Baltic forest psy scenes.
I posted a pretty long idea of what I think of as neuro psy.
