I think the basic misstake of this site is not to separate the forum from the party promotion. I've seen you a3k participating in a lot of conversations but the other mate you had before (justin) was almost inactive. So everything could be changed but today, with all the new sites appearing around just the one that brings more usability to their users will success.

yes man you really right. have a lot of others foruns with a lot of interesting stuffs and parties by separetad. and more...
Maybe if you admins work in the programation of the site maybe can be more interesting again to ppl.

I-m user of this forum for more then 4 years.
Once we had a Portuguese Section, its was one of the most participated in this forum, evry day back in 2003/2005 I was opening this forum to read new threads and have realy nice discussions, but then the moderators closed the portuguese section cause of some truths being said here. then this forum had lost its whole essence!
now i come here 2 3 times a year...
the best days of psyscene had already gone...
those days back in 2004 pfff |

yeah 2 aspects became the main issue to this secction became less visited, 1 - when the administration os isratrance close the portuguese seccion and oppened the iberia seccion. 2 - the elastik-tribe forum that starts almost at the same time. personaly ill rather the old isra, the conversations were more interesting, i was told of the elastik tribe almost in this begginig but only some time ago i made my registration, but is a very disorganized forum, because almost every topic walks to personal discussions. but nowadays everyone goes mainly to elastik. thatīs wy this seccion is becoming more poor

one thing that maintained the "full power" section back in 2002 2003, were the personal attacks too, it had some great interesting conversations, but most of it, was bullshit, and if you are users from that time, you must seen that too.
i must say, that most of the troubles and personal attacks went aways from this forum into other places.
it is true also, that is less active, but i hope you guys, and others, come slowly into this place again, and start yourselves some good contributions into this section
be the change you want to see in the world

The forum is what it is and you are partially resposible for it. If it was more interesting back than and you miss it just put some "magic" of your own in it or keep jumping around!!!

Like alot of folks, i also remember the portuguese section here in isratrance, it wass really reeallly active some years ago,
Didnt a major flood toke place?? and they had to close it down ?? because of hacks, spam, whatever?...
Its so posible!

Although im a big fan of this forum, i have to point my finger at (some) of the moderators for the decreasing activity.....
In many ocasions, the Isratrance team solved forum issues by shutting down the sections completly or by radical topic locks.....it happened in the (in)famous Top Ten section (the funniest and most active section ever), later happened to the very active Portuguese section.....obviously this kind of posture influenced the posting quantity and pushed away many regular users. Anyway, i believe the isratrance essence is still here.......Look at the Trance section, the Promotional...... still a big fan

In spite of being a big loss to Portuguese users when moderators closed down our section i am forced to say as agent smith once said " it was inevitable".
Itīs true, back than it was one of the most active section but itīs also true that we were destroying the good mood around here also. At the end we could see only fightīs between rival party organizers; projects, and their groupies and the statements had nothing to do with reality being instead a war to see who had the last acussation and the most cruel statement to make. And when things are increasing in that dark way the solution itīs to cut the problem by the source.
So as gandhara said people started their personnal fights in other forum so they lost the intrest in coming to here. About the old users i think because of the bad mood creat by this guys that were fighting not giving the oportunity to contruct a good flow of conversation between inteligent and civilized people lost also their intrest.
Altought their are few that are still trying to keep this global way of comunication between people that have the same basic intrest, trance music!! and for thoose oneīs i simply give all my respect because they still are giving me reasons to participat now and than and to learn outher opinions than the oneīs i can find in my buble ;-)
About the top 10 section as Jamesbong said it was a big loss also but once again im forced to understand the moderators reasons. This forum as a major impact in our scene and because of that the moderatos have responsabilites and it was clear to all the top10 section was a instrument for the big trade material between people.
Anyway im still a fan of same section here and i still came when ever i can to see whatīs new ;-) |

i see the point of jamesbong, i was user long b4 iberia section was created. anyway top10 section became a promotional issue as well, posting unrl tracks and trying to promote specific artists. now iberia is not so much bout promoting artists, but more bout promoting parties. all in all a big promotional site. thumbs up for isratrance trying to fight this with opening new sections, and trying to adapt to the situation.
the public & artists are a bit difrent today tho, and this promotional issue just reflects that. so if the forum is made by the public, and the forum is in the situation we see it tdy, its because people want it that way. and therfore should be happy. im not part of that public and kinda stoped following most of the website, i remeber spending time watching every single section of this website including the isratrance site as well ( not only the forum), but cuse public demand changed that, i adapted to it as well, becoming less frequent poster.
underground is good, huge parties are good, general public interest helped scene growing. artists can live of the scene this days (if u rly want it) and promotion made it possible.
b4 ppl had to go out and pick up flyers to know were the next party was, and then come to internet to discuss it. now u get flooded in ur emails. flooded in foruns. imo was a natural development. everything has its good and bad things.
now that i gave my opinion about the promotional issue, i must say, the lack of interest from the public regarding usefull topics of debate, its their own fault. party goers fault. not party promoters. just reflected imo that as the scene grown, the public interest in such topics decreased.
no1 creates topics asking wht places other people had more fun, places were they had been partying, or w/e other issue that is not promotion related. and that could also help party promoters, like a symbiose.
the forum is still here, so go ahead make it more intresting.
sorry if i failed to express my opinion.
