What does Spectrsonics "stylus" do?

Good morning guys and happy new year....hope the new year brings all the best to all of you and much more.....
i want to hear from someone which uses stylus his opinion about it.....ive read the spectrasonics site but i would like to hear your opinion.......does it worth my money???.....does it have drum loops only.....??whats the difference from battery???

there is no comparison between stylus and battery
stylus is a superb drum rompler, it has loops, one shots and the awesome groove control which are midi files of loops whose can modify as you wish, you also can tweak the sounds with adsr envelope, filter and other gadgets included on stylus
on the other hand as superglue said battery is just a sampler, you have to load your own sounds
in my opinion worth each cent you spend on it

i watched the whole stylus video demo... that dude only knows how to decrease and increase the tempo, what a joke!
looks like a great tool though!

i didn t really took a close look on stylus cause it hasn t enough possibilities to tweak your noise.
and as superG mentioned, .wav's aren t worster in the quality.
i would prefere battery or kontakt...
and stylus eats more cpu (...n shro-oms) too...
--> n the .wav's are much more versitile...u can put them in recycle too...=(-;

i ve got a w*z and if i load two of it it takes much more than battery ( comparable to kontakt with fx ).
thnx anyway and have a good time
