Synths like Discovery and Albino both have the option to FM-anize the sound.
But what is really going on in the synth which makes the sound change?

Is there really any FM going on or is it just some sort of FX based on a certain calculation of all synth parameters?

For example the albino have a FM option for osc1. If it is activated the wave of osc1 is used to modulate the frequence of the second osc. So u get a frequence modulation -> FM.            Signature
