i second soundforge.. it's great, records in perfect quality PLUS you can compress the file right when it's done and it's ready for global distribution.

you cant really record a set with converters can you? so in this case the program are more important than quality converters.

The program isn't going to make as much difference to the sound quality as the converters.

Guys ,, I have a lapTop Which has " Conexant "SoundCard in It , Please suggest any Soud Driver which can Help me recording a DJ set ,, Sound Forge is also not Compatible to that Sound card ,, urgent Need .

i have a Mac PPC powerbook... i just downloaded audacity onto it ... but nothing register's onto the software from my mixer out ...
am i missing something on the software (how to use it) or you this it might me a hardware error? |

Hey,
Which Audiacity do you have? What version.. as far as i am aware there are some versions 1.2.4, 1.2.4b, 1.2.5, 1.2.6 ??? some of them are causing problems of course.
