you can use Follow actions on scenes and drum racks to set up all your basslines (single bassnotes) then some midi tracks with program changes and send everything to return tracks where you got several fx rack for example..then switch from fx to fx with your controller..and some fx on the whole master..i love filter delays..on drum return and stuff like that..just fiddle out a proper setup with the fx and its really good fun..the thing about follow actions on scenes is quite easy.. i wrote a tutorial on my site on the left in ableton live stuff..check it out if you like..

so you can actually perform follow actions on scenes? I've been looking for that for a bit... Thanks!

thanks for the tips Mtz Mtzz..
i like the scene way of things and how you can experiment from one to another..
one good tip cosm does on his tutorial is making duplicates of an efx or lead etc in one audio channel and setting the looping points a little different than the other. have these routed to your drum pads and go mental some nice outcomes with this..
