I was talkin to a buddy here on isra and we thought it would be so nice if more big acts did spend there time here on the equipment and music creation section.

So we have more serious contents and less beginner stuff. Beginner stuff and simple technical info have been answer thousands of time. but we still have the same thread title.

On gear slutz there are many different section about gear. if we had different section about music creation, this would probably attract bigger names. why a guy like domestic would spend more time than he already has by browsing through boring threads.

In my case I really wish to see more thread on sound designing where more experienced people would want to share their knowledge.

So here it is: people of this section lets vote for news sub sections !

seppa is right!

IMHO this section need some improvement
also there was a thread in ambient section for opening separate section for ambient production!

So, what do you think?
what improvements can be applied?
may be new sub sections?

agree

this section need improve

i think a good way is to re-start this section leave the old posts which i see as one big mess as archieve ...

having proffeional topics to discuss (wavlab help files can be a great start to dig out subjects , actualy all u need is there in the most proffesional explain , but here we can help to peaple that have troubles or develope each topic to the maximum in psychadelic ways)

i meen , all "how to make this killer lead" could sum up into one big and better "synthesis" thread. sometimes even fast browse on presets will get you the answer

for sure i will love to even help organize artists that will answer questions ,as well im sure the team also have heaps of connections.

maybe we can gather qustions throu the week for specific artist then evry Xday other artist come online to answer
+1

I think it would be nice to have a separate "How to make this sound" sub-section. With a possibility to upload a sample right here)

good idea guys

I dont think we'll get as many subs as ohshit suggested, but a "noobz", sound design, mixing & mastering, and vst/host forum would be more than enough...maybe also a hardware forum, but thats even more than we re able to get I think           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

well, its relatively off topic (not related to music anyway)

but how about a proper OFF TOPIC forum, not a labeled links one, kinda filters most topics to...links only? is it asking for tooo muccccchhh? lol

and if it is to create sub forums for the music related topics....in my opinion if more then 2 are created, iono...would kinda spread too much the topics? (immagine throwing too much stereo expander on a bassline...kinda loses the focus doesnt it?)

plus you start getting ALOT more of those (err, wrong forum m8...try again later *thread closed*....or moved) keep it simple, looks nicer =)

just my 2 pennies           un-fucking-believable

Yeah it would be so great to be able to upload the sample on isra. I think its a long shot since a lot of samples are being ulploaded. On the other hand a 10 sec limit with mp3 being the only format allowed would make this option more affordable or something even simpler a 250k upload limit per file.

Yeah just a few sub categories like:

-sound designing and synthesis

-Mixing and mastering

-technical support

-General

I think it's THE major problem of all forums in the www : separate newbies from "those who know"           Psy stuff : myspace.com/neyaprod
Non-psy stuff : myspace.com/cheaperbits
french psy production forum : http://www.hadra.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=18
