close, but not exactly. the delta and the rest of the minimal psytrance from around 2000 (which i'm really getting into lately) often use a short kickdrum that sounds weak compared to the massive kickdrum of some techno (esp. schranz).

yes, freetekno is nice and quite psychedelic sometimes. it's the music i was listening to before i found psytrance.
but i prefer the melodic and imho even more trippy styles of freetek to the hardcore oriented (like the one you posted). here is an example :

That Carl Marx tune is a bomb in waveforms.
Extrawelt, although I like their music, is not nearly as driving, and psychedelic as the stuff from the Delta and Spirallianz. Actually, it is wrong for me to compare them, so mistake no1 for me today.
The Delta kick is not weak its an 808kick with big subs and very tight transient. Its power is a lot lower than the typical psytrance and 909 techno kicks.
I've seen the Delta live in London. Their music takes a whole new meaning coming from a big P.A. as the music fucks with your brain, and the bass with your bowels

it s 2 different music imo,that techno / hard techno sound is food for the sl 1200 ,it s made to be mixed and it s what put it to the next level.
for me it have to be listened in a set and not track by track like psytrance.
something i like about the techno sound,it s indoor like in hangars with the reverb from the room it can sound really great, it s even more industrial played in these place , really great trip.

Yeah, mostly...The Delta would use a bigger, subbier kick drum more often than Procs or Midimiliz.
I'd also like to hear more psychedelia over the typical Schranz-groove.

dh nice i have this one too long time i haven tlisened to it .
imo a techno track like gaetek one i posted just above with some weird sound on top could make some amazing psytrance.
etnica made a few tunes between techno and psytrance that are nice too.
