What do you say, when someone asks you.. what's 'LOST' all about..

So im watching season 6 last night, and my girl friend's at my place getting all bored since shes never really watched much of it.. and obviously doesn't know who john locke is! So, She looks at me all glued to my PC monitor waiting to finish the episode and start another one and says "whats this show about??"
I pause for a moment, and start explaining the whole electro mangetism, time travel and plane crash thingi.. and realise that i was more lost than she was!
So, what do you say to someone who asks you about this show, or how do you tell someone about LOST??

It's about proving that a lot of people will watch things that don't conflict with them if it's produced well, even if it's not good at any one thing.
