At home I use 5.1 ALTEC speakers...really nice sound,too bad my neighbours don't like it
for outside listens I use my Iriver mp3 player. |

Yeah it's easy to damage your hearing by listening to music too loud.. however it's even easier to not listen to your music too loud
In the end it's the parties where you go w/out hearing protection that really do the trick

I used to sometimes wear Musicians earplugs to gigs, parties and nightclubs until I lost one of the filters.
They give flat attenuation of 15 dB across the spectrum. Expensive though because they are custom moulded.

same here, on my altec lansig comp speakers, and when its late in the night and the world is sleepin i have to use my head phones... also listen on a panasonic music system, on which I go much louder
