On my Kenwood stereo or my big Philips soundsystem with wOOx system for extra fat bass Or on the computer, which has a Dolby 5.1 surround set with a big amplifier. My Panasonic discman listens really fine too. And for headphone listening I turn to my Beyers, I have two models, an open model and a closed one. Open: DT990 and Closed: DT770. They're the best. You can hear every mastering mistake on that one. Try listening to cd's from Utopia records for example and you can clearly hear that the highs are given way too much character in that mix. Lior Perlmutter from AP masters those I think, and he probably doesn't hear those high pitches himself anymore because of either two things: 1. hearing damage from all those performances with AP, or 2. his soundsystem doesn't play the highs too well. Either way, the Beyer headphones are so good that you hear all mastering mistakes. It's also a great mastering tool for your own music.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. I'm listening with many different sources but at home I'm still envoying the music thanks to an ooooold Pioneer amplifier, actually older than me hehe, it's the SA-608..

Very lovely machine :

and still very efficient !

It's playing with some Pioneer HPM-50 that are also very very very old but still kicking so bright !

They look like that :

Don't ask me for technical details haha it's just that I looooooove the warm sound they provide.. And when friends do come at home, owning great systems (JM Lab and so on) they're always suprised by "my" sound..

Maxi big up to my parents who bought that system more than 20 years ago !

Right... and in-ear phones suck!
I just use my Panasonic Discman with Philips headphones. Great stuff! No mp3 for me. Most of my music is on cd anyway and I can't be bothered to 'convert' it to mp3 format.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment.
