Sendspace - in particular the Sendspace Wizard desktop app - allows you to keep track of how many times your files have been downloaded, and when, and it is possibe to stop sharing a file without deleting it from the server, and then to subsequently re-enable sharing later. This makes it possible to ensure that only the intended recipient of your file is able to download it.

If you're talking to a label rep on eg. Skype, it's much better to send a 256-320kbps mp3 quickly, than it is to make them wait up to ten times as long for a wav. A high-bitrate mp3 is enough to demonstrate the quality of the production, and you can offer to send the wav later if they like the mp3.

i'd agree IF you were talking to someone in real time. would be much quicker!

Labels who don't accept good quality mp3s as a demo of an artist are just snobs. Any normal human is able to detect a nice tune and differentiate it from a shitty tune listening to an mp3.
Music is lossless.

Good to see the thread receiving responses.
I like what l66 said as well .... the whole private link at sound cloud things works if people are on holiday. Makes sense
Yeah I've been using the sendspace wizard but I'm going
to include the short info text file along with the mp3 in the future while sending stuff out
