i think tht you can argue in the partiw review section but in my opinon in spite of the soundsystem didnt be powerfull enough i think in quality its was one of the bests i heard untill today many people there talked about delays in the speackers but tht sound system were built to people enjoy inside the sphere not beyaind the system. i give 8/10 to te sound system the other 2 missing points are becouse it should be a lilte bit louder. |

volume is also a matter of quality !
and the if u would stand in the midlle of 2 speakers u would hear a delay !
not like in samothraki which there wherever u would stood u heard the same !!!! |

The phase problems with the speakers where quite annoying, allthough on some spots outside the dancefloor you even had good sound, but on some spots mostly between the domes, and also in the big dome, it really got annoying.
As for the volume, it was loud enough for me. I never thought to myself that i should have been louder.
Quality was quite good in my ears!
i expected allot less clarity in the mid and upper freq ranges.

lolol tenuous dont say what u really dont know .
there was a soudn enginner from germany ... to install this sound system .... and ... when u have a round spot .... if u have 4 point or 5 point surround ... u get always latençy ... ALWAYS ... even f programed ...but could be bether .. but something that dont help a lot .. is thw wind ... wind help to make this delay refraction on the wave ... and the sound was good to be on the sphere , inside it .. u hear less laudness but concentreted and quiet good defenition without delays
but in fact that was the best PA i've played in my life .. such a clarity .. and HIGH freq were absolutely good ... nothing to point ehgeg

the soundsystem was 65K of power from what i heard from the sound crew
It was the first time this soundsystem had been in parties in portugal, its supposed to be THA thing (metalica only plays on this soundsystem aparentelly)
The main delay problem i think was due to the munition of the DJ being too loud and faced towards the public, and the sound from the DJ boot would be heard before the main soundsystem, that was a bit lame, but only happened in front of the DJ, not in the back
I thing the speakers were too apart from each other, and agree there was no power enough, but sound quality was amazing imo |

i don't understand why people try to make round stages... the sound is always bad and full of echoes ...
put a big fat ass wall sound system and then u ll have a good sound |

side-a is right! sound is simply not so fucking complicated. you just make two big stacks of high-end speakers like turbosound or funktion-one or EV and make sure they are not too far apart. forget about delay stacks or even worse, surround sound. surround sound for dance music is an absolute disaster, because the music is based around the kick and the bass. you'll end up with delayed kicks all over the show and bass frequencies clashing with each other. i have so much respect for Boom for the all of their work, but I can't understand why they still haven't figured out how to get good sound after all these years of organizing parties. to me this is inexcusable. |
