I think if you want to change the image of psy today in india and bring this culture under good light...the first thing is teaching the older people around you what its all about...they might not agree....but at least they will understand....and parents are the first natural step...
coming from you is much better than from the media...they will see your passion....and they will notice that, as people said, it is the main culture in young people...
then there will be acceptance.....and things can start turning to a more liberal approach again....
as you can see from this topic very few parents are aware....and ignorance brings fear, rejection and leaves in the hands of corrupt police and idiotic media the power to kill the scene etc....
my 2 rupees...

my dad is a farmer ..... believes nature and man living in co-existence is the way forward....... man gets up at 5 every morning........drinks whiskey like crazy ..... discussed lsd and the higher doses they were into in the 60 ies......... i saw his photos and side burns and all that bell bottom jazz and it scares the f out of me.........he is the original flower child.....his music he claims is way more psychedelic than mine ... mostly a genre of rock where guyz are pissed and shouting all anti establishement things and very violent at times........ he likes the new vibe but doesn't like dark music ...says its crap ........loves the morning tho...........
his advise to me as always is ....control the d....and don't let the d control u ....
i really don't mind their generation but i think they drink much more than us ...... |

Oh, and BTW, my Dad was heavily into Carlos Castaneda too!

how come all yourll guys folks r ex-tokers and so supportive and cool abt it and and my folks arnt !! GRRRRR.....im green with jealousy !!
Music wise...ive conditioned my mum to believe that this music has nothing to do without the D's.....since EDM is blasting almost all of the times at my place.....and im always hopping arnd..grooving..killing it fully sober.....so she knows i love the music for the music.....and doesnt know thwe difference either if im dancing arnd @ home in another state...but she still has her doubts......and this damn technodrome incident and pune and goa reports doesnt help my cause either....

my dad used to call psytrance "devil music" ....
then one day when we were in the car i played osom s OVERGAME..
that changed his whole perception of psychedelic trance ..
now he calls it mad music...
