Hey
I want to start mixing psy. What CD players would you recommend? Im looking at the Gemini CDX 602 dual player rack mounted. Pretty much seems bottom of the range. Or should I go for seperate external players which are alot more expensive. And mixer?
I dont need a 3 channel right? Only 2?
What would u consider a must have on this equipment.
Any other info or point me to an existing thread.
Schweeeeeeeet
PS - Sorry if theres an answer to this on the forum but I did search.

My opinion...don;t go for Gemini! Really! Geminy is "low budget wanna be professional" material.
My first dj setup was all Gemini, and believe me, I regreted a lot at the time for not waiting a bit and buying a bit better
One problem with Gemini is the latency, u press play and it only plays a split of a sec after, wich is really anooying when mixing....
My opinion, go for Pioneer cdjs.......quality proved trough experience, they're used everywhere |

the DJM mixers have all these crazy effects n stuff and they are like 3 times the price of a CD player. Definitely not worth it for what Im gonna be using it for. Dont need realtime effects and all the bells and whistles.
peace

dude i really like the denon 9000.....expensive but its got shit loads of features can even play 4 tracks at a time from 2 cds.....
rest i would even recommend the numarks dm1050 mixer...superior build quality at low costs.....
but i guess cdj100 are the best to learn and practice on......

honestly, i would go for a 3 or 4 channel mixer. not for added effects, but just in case. its better to be over prepared. |
