Hello and happy New Year for everyone!

I hope this thread might be helpful not for me only, but for everyone who sometimes needs sounds of live instruments in music.

I already have some good experience of "outsource" recordings with several members of this forum, and kind of would like to spread this thing

If you can play and have ability to quality record an instrument, and you think you can have fun doing it, please write down here what you can play.

I personally currently need sax andor other woodwind instruments, acoustic guitar, and, in fact, whatever else

What kind of stuff are you looking to be recorded? I have a clarinet and can record, but honestly I'm not that good at it, so playing something complex might not sound the best .           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

I can't play clarinet so it's hard for me to judge what is hard or not, but i think that what i need (for current track) is relatively simple: slow solo, not very many notes... =) What is more inportant is intonation of real artist, that is way harder to emulate... Like, changes of loudness and timbre inside one long note, etc...

okay, i'll contact you via PM with a short demo, a bit later, if you don't mind

Sure. Yeah it's mostly a factor of playing fast, which I doubt I could do well due to lack of practice. Figured I'd give ya a heads up, but I would enjoy trying it out and seeing what you think.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

a bit of this and a bit of that. The longest is didgeridoo(s) for twelve years or sth like that. But last time I recorded was last century hehe
Have to record first sth for my music but I think that won't be easy to eq right and all ,sicne the didge vibes got that low bass fundament.

Medea, not to spoil the fun, but playing the didj means that you do circular breathing, if you don't, then you porbably don't know how to play the didj.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

My ex-girlfriend plays a mean skin flute.

I can give you her number if you're interested.
