What are your plans, for the next 10 years or so?

I go first:
Now that I got into Uni (again) to study IT (again). I'll definitely go thru with it. I'll drop out from Helsinki Polytechnic. In Helsinki University I'll specialize in Bio Informatics and take Molecular Biology as a side subject. That should take 5 years, or maybe hopefully 4 if I'll be really fast. I'm planning to do this with top grades. That's right, this time I'll do it for real. I'll be doing my homework and shit. That leaves me as filosofian maisteri, which is a higher university degree. Master of Philosophy or something like that. After that I think I'll do my South America tour, from 6 to 12 months. Flying to NYC and then slowly by train all the way down to the southern most point of South America and if I've still got money left then it'll be a boat to Antarctica and back. Then I hope to get into some Uni probably in the USA to lift my degree to doctor. After that it's time for the Asia tour, 6 to 12 months again, starting from Helsinki by train to Moscow and then trans-siberia train, and then down south thru China by train, on the way back might have to check out Goa too. And then I'll start to work for real and make tons of money (find a cure to aids or cancer or some other wide spread disease..should get me a nobel prize too  ) so I can retire at the age of 40 and buy myself a fat boat and cruise around the world till I die.
The downside to all this; I think I'll have to end my 2nd life (Internet) cos I really want to become good at what I do and this is just sucking too much, too much time. I can't walk the middle way. It's either massive abuse or pretty much no internet at all 
So what are your plans?

And I'll spend about a month in Brazil around this New Year's eve. Definitely check out Universo Paralello..

I thought I had it all figured out but then I graduated from university and became a full time bum *ahem* mum. All my carefully concocted plans went out the window.
I'd like to move into nicer accomodation because I hate my flat. I'd like to learn to drive and get myself a camper van with all the trimmings. I'd like to figure out how to be cheerful in the mornings. I want to learn a foreign language because it was my worst subject at school and I just can't grasp them from tapes - Dutch, French or Spanish would be my top choices. It would be nice to find a way of earning money from home so I can still be with my children and not have to worry about putting them in childcare while going out to work some shitty McJob. Have been looking into the possibilites of starting up a little internet business but I don't know what I would do. If I could figure out a way to earn a living, I'd buy a laptop and some desperately needed music equipment so I could start recording my chill stuff again. And now the twins are older/compus mentus it would be nice to travel more. I considered going into homeopathy or herbalism for a while but again, it comes down to cash flow - or lack of it. I want to do a photography course.
So....many ideas, but hardly any definite plans.
I suppose I'm just going to take life as it comes for now and hope that 'the answers' will reveal themselves to me in time. |

Lets see,
At the moment I am looking for a flat to buy, a warm place to settle in, and since i don t have the cash to do it, for the next 10 years at least i will be paying off the loan that will be taken from the bank.
Of course i will be oblidged to continue hard working in order to secure that the money will be flowing for all this time.
Meanwhile, I am trying to keep up with having fun, travelling a little bit during my days off from work and smoking!...
I want to continue my diving lessons and get the diploma for entering/checking caves and wrecks and learn another language, maybe Spanish or Italian.
Since i am a woman at one point during the next 10 years i will have to plan having a child ( i am already 28 years old & need to expand the family)which will be a more than normal rather dificult procedure since i can do it only based on artificial insemination...
That s what i can think of more or less for now.. |
