ok so i hope this turns out to be an interesting topic... i dont know about you guys, but when i listen to some trance tracks i definately imagine things... i mean like a quick story or a setting or a feel.. you know, like the music is suppose to do... i think there was a thread here before about what we see and imagine. but what im saying is can some artists who are frequent (very appreciated) visitors of this forum tell us what they envisioned? cause if your mind is as half warped as mine.... oh my. artists, you know who you are, enrich us and share your thoughts please and let us into your brainwaves.

The only thing I try to imagine while listening to music, is how dancefloor would respond to it and what vibes will it give...
And by the way - most of the time you can't control your hallucinations ....

well, maybe imagine is kind of wrong, but when listening to the music nowadays, I have a tendancy to get a rush of thoughts that evolve from the atmosphere of the track - the track gives me directions in which I think, but I can take those anywhere. It's a matter of focusing your attention - you can either just listen to the music and enjoy it, you can listen to the story behind it, or you can let it guide you.

And I am trying to imagine the "thing" wich produces this or that "sound". (BTW, a couple of times I "saw" very interesting "musical" instruments ).

you guys remember the band in jabbas palace in return of the jedi? i was once at a party, really psy music, but funky in a sorta indiscribable way, i decided this would be the music at some 23rd century imperial court with some technoid king and queen and then that band playing it with those weird as fuck instruments.. somehow there was a fusion of olde english castle style added to the mix as well.. ahh, quite odd - but groovy...

it happens to me with one track
BLT - Human Cube Factory
always when i hear it i get a picture of a medium size factory with some steel machines that take green-jeli cubes and put them in some kinda of order...
usually i try to listen to all the sound layers and imaging some forest and some flute with shpongle tracks..

kaz: nice one! i find trance music to be my meditation aswell.
i will be sitting down/standing up what ever and tuning in to the sounds of trance on my stereo and someone will come into the room and call my name and *BANG* i jump and get knocked out of my meditation space. |

ohh just closing my eyes and letting the story inside take me on a most unbelivable journey each time ....
the overwhelming feelings that explode...the unstoppable train of thought ....

well i dunno..ussually when i'm stoned i'm looking for uplifting, non commercial kitch, with positivly oriented layering&sounds (pitch matched preffered..) music, if it's too monotonic/dark, i let it go..
