what are trance parties like in japan?

so im from the other side of the world  and i would love to visit sometime... could u guys fill me in on who is popular at the moment? who are ur favourite artists? what is the average party like? and last but not least what party/festival that u've been to has just absolutely kicked ass...
i'd love some referrals so i can find out more and make a mission to your side of the world... |

well thats not very specific or helpfl... i want details, where are the most happening parties? in south africa it all happens in cape town and sometimes joburg. whats the most popular festival there... are u guys into full-on as much as south africans? ive browsed thru some threads and obiously i havent found what im looking for... |

well,you late,but you can still find some nice partys around,you can visit vision quest weeb site and go in to the links,for me,the best partys ,are the small ones that you can still have party pepole,the big ones are fun,but its changed.any way like hikari said,and he is helping you,you can find it on the rest of the forum.the japanese scene is strong,full on is the music on the dance floors,but you can find progressive also,but more undergrond org. for outdoors,solstice fuji in august is best .

Yeah its true- I couldnt believe it until I saw ppl on the street selling it... but that was about 2 yrs ago.
Sometimes the big trance concerts are very fun, other times not. Yes I like the smaller parties too but you will not find them on the web.
Try checking out Chikyu-ya. Threw the best party I saw in Tokyo, with none other than the master Goa Gil.

you can still buy some surprisingly potent stuff in powder form from the various 'legal drug' vendors 'round Shinjuku, Shibuya etc. Be careful, though, while it's all definitely psychedelic, many types have dirty speedy stuff thrown in that messes with your digestive system & gives you a wicked headache...
