Nice, DETOX. That's one of the most mature. wiser big brother things I've heard in a contentious thread.
No one can deny. Respect for Zolod.
The Xenomorph track that Colin posted was good and dark and evil etc, but to me it falls into Goa, as indeed it came from that period. Even the Paps track came from that awesome but scene dividing period of 2001.
Parasense is it, I think, for the roots of the fast and nutty.

I believe the same thing too.
But of course, for every story there is a German verson, eh?.. We've been through this already.
I'll stick with Moscow for darkpsy and Detroit for techno, but plenty of people will talk about Berlin and Hamburg. |

I remember this New Wave hit I heard around 1985. And guess what - there was nothing wavy about it!
It's. Just. A. Genre. Name. |

No argument from me there - I agree with everything you said.
But I am not the one who came up with these names. And I am not going to be the one running around with petitions to change them. So, I use those names, however unfortunate they are. It's much easier to refer to New Wave or Goth or Thrash Metal than describe this music in detail. It's much easier for me to say "darkpsy" than "the kind of music Zolod used to play".
